Day 1785 : 5 minutes Freewrite : Sunday - prompt : hit list

Source

Philly knew his name may be on the killer's hit list. There is nowhere to hide. The only thing he could do for himself is to secure the last treasure for his family.
They are the only ones worth his sacrifice.
He came back home that day after months of staying away from his family.
He wanted to avoid endangering their lives.
His wife was surprised and happy to see him.
After spending some hours with them, he gave his daughter and wife a necklace as a gift.
He asked them to always keep the necklace with them, never to remove it, but to wear it always.
He asked them to break the necklace if anything should happen to him.
Likewise, he left them at night, when they were sleeping.
The killer might be close.
