In Landline city, there is different sources of flours. People in the city meals are centered by using flour in cooking almost all their foods. There is a huge place set aside for farming nobody lived there.
They focused on growing starchy roots to suit their taste.
Every morning everyone could wake up and go to farm. Knowing fully well that survival is solely based on what you harvest from your farm. Importing food stuffs from other cities caused them huge amount of money.
Though they buy some other things to sustain life,they are able to buy those things when they harvest and sell things grown in their farms.

A huge calamity befall them that day, it was a day to be remembered.
They came to their farm and saw everything in flames.
It was almost harvest period, they wanted to harvest.
Keep some for their own consumption and sell the remaining.
They went to market with the little money they have at hand.
There was inflation, marketers said they heard what happened to their farms.
People started buying a lot of food stuffs to store for their consumption for a long time, until the next harvest season.
Because it will not be in abundance again, since they won't be able to sell much from there own end.
