....The winds blow so much sweeping across the street. It was not quite strange because we were in the rainy seasons. Children were seen running home to their parents, market woman were see packing up their wares and racing home, farm men had to pack up their utensils and retire back to their house. The breeze kept blowing stronger and stronger. We had to shut up the windows and doors of our house. The breeze was quite too much and dangerous. It started taking of the roofs of houses, it fell trees across the road. Light waste product were not left out as the breeze kept packing them from their original place and scattering them on the road, walkways and even houses that were open. It was just some minutes past four when this breeze came. It all of a sudden became dark as if it was alright midnight. Clothes left on the ropes were equally carried away

"Please take out all the dresses on the rope in the back yard" mother cried. "The down pour will not be friendly at all" she added

"Make sure nothing is left outside and all the doors and windows are locked up" father said from the living room.

Napep we screamed. There was light. This was unusual.

"No one should put any electrical appliance on in this house. I won't want to lose any of them as things are very hard to buy in this country" father screamed as my little tried putting on the television...

Some minutes later there was a quick spark of light outside it was a lightning ⚡. It was accompanied with a thunder and immediately the light went off. The high power lines started sparking till it cut off the high tension and lander on flamingo. This was a big supermarket close to my house. The shop cut fire immediately.

The owner of Flamingo had just returned earlier from Aba with goods and restocked he shop. The fire caught a lot of things in the shop. The shop was damaged. A lot of appliances and goods were burnt beyond repairs. A lot of people rushed out to try and put of the fire but it was quite a very difficult task as he had highly inflammable appliances in the shop it took a while before the rains came and put off the fire. It was a very ugly cite to behold as he lost a lot of good and he will have to suffer loss to this fire outburst....
