We know how much damage individual ambitions can do to a marriage

Equalizers

There was a time when our people were prisoners of capitalist ambitions. Young people aspired to leave their humble towns, probably to never come back. They wanted to attend fancy colleges, get degrees, marry someone above their social condition, get houses or apartments, brand-new cars, and all the furniture and appliances vanity could buy.

Thanks to the Pretty Revolution, young people have made their matrimonial ambitions more in sync with the reality and needs to their communities and the Fatherland. I would say that their main ambition now is to find someone with similar revolutionary ambitions. They know for sure they will hardly ever leave their home towns. We should thank the international community for that. It was a most needed wake up call. Now that they know that things are far worse in the rest of the world, they have started to appreciate what they have and make do with it.

Most fancy universities have disappeared to make room for a more pragmatic and down-to-earth approach to education for life and country. “Higher education” was an elitist and discriminatory notion and made average people get airs of grandeur and feel superior to their fellow citizens. Now we have Educational Villages where everyone feels the same, struggles with the same limitations, and know that they will be contributing to their own communities under the same circumstances.

Because of the criminal blockade our labor president has not been able to build more houses, but there are plenty of empty abandoned houses left behind by traitors who thought they would do better somewhere else. It is a matter of time until we are allowed to occupy those empty properties. Young couples will be able to have whatever housing they want. In the meantime, they can accommodate their aspirations to their family’s house or build their own, just like our ancestors did.

We know how much damage individual ambitions can do to a marriage. By eliminating those possibilities, our revolution is making sure families will stay together in peace and love without the temptations of the materialistic world. We may feel tempted to criticize our leaders for still having access to those material possessions, but that’s the price they have to pay to build this Pretty Revolution. It’s not easy to work for the poor, especially when they are so many.

The children of the Fatherland will grow in homes that are founded on love, not on material things, money, or vanity. They will grow up to love their future espouses for what they mean for them, not for what they own. With both of them equalized before god and before the law all the frictions produced by material possessions are reduced to a minimum. There will always be a risk of deviations, but hopefully the revolution will regulate itself and its effect will be irreversible. That will make a beautiful happy ending for the world to imitate.
