The abduction - A short story

Dominique woke up in a haze. She couldn't see anything around her, and she had no idea where she was. It was pitch dark. She felt light headed, and tried to sit up straight, but she hit her head on something above her.

Her head hurt terribly, and she lay back down again. She waited for her eyes to adjust to the darkness, but she still couldn't see anything. She used her hands to feel around her, and realized that she was trapped in some kind of box. She knew that panicking would make things worse, so she tried to make some sense out of the whole situation.

The last thing she remembers was going to the club with Jake. She met him online a few weeks ago, and they chatted every day. He was the perfect guy. She didn't even know his surname. He wanted to meet in person, but she was scared. He kept on asking and was very persuasive until she gave in. He invited her for a night out with his friends to an exclusive club. She lied about her age and she lied to her parents.

She wanted to meet him there, but he was a perfect gentleman and offered to pick her up. She was impressed with his car, and she was totally impressed with him. She's never been to a club before. She felt very special when he introduced her to his group of friends, and she could see that they were all upper-class.

She had two drinks, and they danced a bit, but then she felt lightheaded and excused herself to go to the bathroom. She remembers nothing after leaving the dance-floor.

She heard sounds outside. A ray of hope....a sound in the darkness. She heard Jake's voice. She could feel her heart beating in her throat.

He found her! He was going to save her....

"This one was even easier than last time. Only took three weeks to get her to trust me completely. She'll be delivered in your private jet in a few hours as discussed."

"The money is being transferred to your account as we speak."

Dominique felt paralyzed. She tried to scream, but no sound came out. No one knew where she was.....and when they do, she knew it would be too late.
