Cuéntame una Historia: Una Abuela Inteligente

En la ciudad de Turenlandia, vivía una señora muy anciana, la cual estaba acompañada de un nieto, dos perros y cuatro gatos. Su nieto David contaba con 8 años y estaba con ella desde que su madre, la cual vivía arrendada en su casa y no era su hija, un buen día, tuvo al niño en su propia habitación, le informo a la señora sobre el niño que había dado a luz, recogió sus cosas y prometiendo que regresaría en tres días a buscarlo, se marchó y jamás volvió.

Fue así que Doña Deliana, sin desearlo, se vio en la necesidad de adoptar y criar a David, quien siempre ha sido como el hijo que nunca tuvo. Antes de que todo esto ocurriera, ella vivía sola en su casa y era conocida en el vecindario por ser una mujer muy envidiosa. Esto se mantuvo así durante algún tiempo, pero después que nació David, llego a ser menos recurrente en esa actitud.

En cierta ocasión, Doña Deliana se percató de que estaba pagando cada vez más dinero en su factura de agua. Esto hizo que se enfureciera mucho, debido a que en su pensión disponía cada vez de menos recursos para los alimentos, ya que debía pagar la factura siempre en aumento. Después de mucho pensar y meditar, decidió tomar medidas.

Doña Deliana siempre fue una mujer muy inteligente y astuta. Luego de idear varias maneras, decidió que la mejor forma de evitar pagar las cada vez más altas facturas, sería sabotear el suministro de agua. Con la ayuda de su nieto David, el cual era un chico muy listo y apoyándose con inteligencia artificial, construyeron un dispositivo robótico controlado por control remoto, el cual podía bloquear el suministro de agua.

Para que el dispositivo funcionara, deberían colocarlo en la entrada principal de la tubería que suministra agua a la ciudad. Para lograr esto, debían burlar la seguridad del patio general donde se encontraban las bombas de agua que la suministraban a la ciudad. Se ayudaron, no lo van a creer, de un gran cajón de naranjas. Todos los días, Doña Deliana llevaba a pasear a David, quien dirigía el aparato robótico con un control remoto. Los guardias se distraen con las naranjas que les regalaba Doña Deliana y David, con el control remoto, colocaba el dispositivo en la entrada de la tubería de agua. ¿Quien sospecharía de una anciana tan amable y su nieto manejando su carrito a control remoto?

El dispositivo estaba programado para que se activara al recibir una señal de radio. Cuando se recibía la factura de agua, Doña Deliana activaba el aparato, el suministro de agua se interrumpía y por cada hora que no se recibía agua en las residencias, se descontaban dos de la factura de agua. De esta manera, no solo Doña Deliana se ahorraba una gran cantidad de dinero, sino todos los habitantes de la ciudad. El problema era que Doña Deliana siempre sabia cuando no habría agua, mientras que todos los demás, debían sufrir las consecuencias de la activación del aparato sin ellos saberlo.

Doña Deliana estuvo haciendo esto durante algunos años hasta que finalmente fue descubierta por las autoridades de la alcaldía con la ayuda de la policía. La acusaron de sabotaje y manipulación del suministro de agua, pero como era muy anciana y su nieto aún muy joven, no sufrieron ninguna condena en la cárcel. Fue sentenciada a prisión en su domicilio y a pagar una gran multa. Poco después, desaparecieron de la ciudad y algunos años más tarde, se supo que habían llegado a los Estados Unidos, donde su nieto ahora es astronauta. Ella vive feliz sus últimos años, gracias a las inversiones que realizo con todo el dinero que se ahorró al no pagar las facturas de agua con el dispositivo que inventaron. Las autoridades de Turenlandia aún no encuentran explicación a las continuas fallas de suministro de agua en la ciudad.

Tell Me a Story: A Smart Grandma

In the city of Turenland, there lived a very old lady, who was accompanied by a grandson, two dogs and four cats. Her grandson David was 8 years old and had been with her since his mother, who lived in her rented house and was not her daughter, one fine day, had the child in her own room, informed the lady about the child she had given birth to, gathered her things and promising to return in three days to look for him, left and never came back.

So it was that Doña Deliana, without wishing it, found herself in the need to adopt and raise David, who has always been like the son she never had. Before all this happened, she lived alone in her house and was known in the neighborhood for being a very envious woman. This went on for some time, but after David was born, she became less recurrent in that attitude.

On one occasion, Doña Deliana noticed that she was paying more and more money on her water bill. This made her very angry, because she had less and less money for food in her pension, as she had to pay the ever-increasing bill. After much thought and meditation, she decided to take action.

Doña Deliana was always a very intelligent and astute woman. After devising several ways, she decided that the best way to avoid paying the ever-increasing bills would be to sabotage the water supply. With the help of her grandson David, who was a very smart boy, and relying on artificial intelligence, they built a remote-controlled robotic device that could block the water supply.

For the device to work, they would have to place it at the main entrance of the pipeline supplying water to the city. To achieve this, they had to bypass the security of the general courtyard where the water pumps that supplied water to the city were located. They helped themselves, you won't believe it, with a large crate of oranges. Every day, Doña Deliana took David, who controlled the robotic device with a remote control, for a walk. The guards would be distracted by the oranges that Doña Deliana gave them and David, with the remote control, would place the device at the entrance of the water pipe. Who would suspect such a kind old lady and her grandson driving her remote control cart.

The device was programmed to activate when a radio signal was received. When the water bill was received, Doña Deliana activated the device, the water supply was interrupted and for every hour that no water was received at the residences, two hours were deducted from the water bill. In this way, not only Doña Deliana saved a great deal of money, but also all the inhabitants of the city. The problem was that Doña Deliana always knew when there would be no water, while everyone else had to suffer the consequences of the activation of the device without knowing it.

Doña Deliana was doing this for some years until she was finally discovered by the mayor's authorities with the help of the police. They charged her with sabotage and tampering with the water supply, but as she was very old and her grandson still very young, they did not suffer any jail sentence. She was sentenced to imprisonment at her home and to pay a large fine. Soon after, they disappeared from the city and some years later, it was learned that they had arrived in the United States, where her grandson is now an astronaut. She lives happily her last years, thanks to the investments she made with all the money she saved by not paying the water bills with the device they invented. The authorities of Turenlandia still cannot find an explanation for the continuous water supply failures in the city.
