My daily loop haha

I was listening to a reading of the Bhagavad Gita today and during the listen I felt nicely inspired, but when I decided to stop, I felt troubled.

Religions are always taunting you to behave like their made up gods that are so beyond human, which always will make your human traits feel wrong.

Nah, the only true God resides within, and it's either perfect beyond comprehension or just as flawed as all of us, yet I refuse to believe that it would make us in a way that we must completely change to be "ok in it's book".

Why make us filled with desire if getting rid of desire was the only thing that could free us? It would have to be a maniac, some kind of twisted sociopath to do that nasty trick to it's own creations.

I prefer to believe that our desires are ok and that we must do what's in our hands to see them happen. To be fair, the Bhagavad Gita does say this as well, it's actually a fucked up text filled with contradiction as everything we humans write, lol. It just screams to me: "fuck religion, appreciate the now!!!".

Edit: I'll still finish listening to it but only because it's really fun, like Dragon Ball and that kind of stuff.
