The sailor, a man with the secrets of the sea (1/30)

Dear friends

As the good things always happen today I am participating with this introductory post in the FreeWriteHouse writing challenge "Mayna", which will be developing during the month of May, to start here I include part of the beginning of my story that will gradually develop every day helped by the indicated prompt. This story is a continuation of Mindy´s life which I wrote for last month's freewriting challenge, the last installment of which was done today. I hope to fulfill the stated purpose.

A surprise call

Soon as darkness fell at night Mindy took her way home, Amy had encouraged her with everything they had talked about, she now when taking the subway back did not imagine what would soon happen.

When opening the door of her house, the portrait of her father greeted her, he had been a sailor who, having traveled many seas, always had a story to tell her, she always absorbed in her story, letting pass some details of what he said. He had already passed, letting pass some details of what he said. He had already passed away a year ago, in his last years of life he had passed from all responsibility, his mother and he had separated when she was still a child and several years passed before he was heard from again.

When he returned again he came back as a totally changed man, his already wrinkled face betrayed the difficulties he had been through, however he always showed his jocularity, but she could never imagine that there were things that he hid.

With these thoughts, she fell asleep soundly. In the morning, a call to her mobile phone woke her. On the other side of the phone, a female voice asked her about her father. She was still drowsy and did not manage to answer. The person on the phone again insisted on the question. Unable to hold back the tears, Mindy emitted a breath of despair saying "It is that he passed away a year ago."

The voice on the phone answered, "Excuse me, I didn't mean to hurt you." Who are you?

At that moment a sudden air from the storm that was coming shook the windows, with the whistle of the background wind, Mindy replied:

"I am his daughter, he lived here in my house"

The woman's voice replied:

"Well, I'm your sister, he always told me about you and your mother"

She, confused, could not believe that her father had kept that secret from her.

Finally they met to see each other in the shopping center near their house, so Mindy would know all the truth.
