In a modern world like we are, picking up trash is not really a big deal because of the technology we have now. There is a central control of disposing trash from your house to the dumpster, it's as easy as taking the trash out and dumping it in the dumpster, then the collectors take it to the dump yard. These are government agencies making sure that things are done orderly.
But ofcourse, there will always be places that are not developed and they are not as tidy as the civilized folks, this is where the picking of trash can be emphasized. They litter the ground and make a mess of the environment. Pieces of paper, nylon and other trash are left out in the open. So, it is important to educate people on taking care of the environment and tidying where they live, even if the neighborhood is dirty, moves can be made to tidy it up and pick up all the trash.
