Scratchy eyes is a common thing, probably a fly, or just staring at something for too long maybe TV can cause someone to scrub their eyes.
And as we know, girls make everything seem as if it were more than what it is. They see an alligator when in reality it is just a lizard. They assume basically everything, so scrubbing the eyes for them shouldn't be a big deal, they'll be doing that a lot.
