Cityscape is the artistic view of an area, whether rural or urban. It can also be said to be a generalized view of an area. This is so because you cannot view or capture an area in bits, it has to be in a generalized form. That's the essence of calling it a city. A city comprises of more than one house or firm, a city contains many houses and firms, hence the generalization. Meanwhile, the generalization does not mean it captures everything, not so, it only captures the important parts and the places that are significant to the work.
