Carpet was a big deal in those days, everyone wanted one. It showed status, especially if it is a special design or it has a special feature. But time makes everything look big in it's time. Years gone by and carpet has lost its value, It is now an optional advantage. With the use of tiles everywhere, a lot of folks has reduced their usage of carpet.
