The goose and wild cat : A picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

A thirsty female wild goose was glad to have found a river from which to drink from. She had wandered around the forest for two days in search of a place to quench her thirst. From afar she saw fresh grasses and flourishing leaves growing in the other end of the forest. It's possible there's spring of water in such a place she thought as she flew to the part of the forest. The goose Happy to have found such a flourishing place with green plants and trees as she drank from the still water, the disturbance from the bushes alerted her. "I'm not alone" she mumbled and looked around frightened.

She stopped drinking and waited quietly to ensure she was safe. A few minutes later, a wild cat dashed out of the bush toward her and she swiftly escaped as she flew across the river, her feet flapping the waters as she made her way to the other side. No where in the forest was safe she thought, "it was either she live beside this brook and risk escaping danger of been eaten by the cat or live in the other part of the forest thirsty" she said, as she flew to safety.

She watched the wild cat staring at her from the other side of the river, her eyes boiling with pain and hunger. She had not been the only one suffering from the drought, probably all animals in the jungle are, it was a period to watch her back she thought, flying to a far end to return only when she's thirsty.
