Slipped: A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

It was Monday morning, Mr Rufus had woken up late. He had a very stressful weekend and almost forgot the weekend was over. He snoozed the alarm beeping, reminding him it was 6:00AM, and wrapped himself inside his duvet again. At 9:00Am, the principal's call came through to his phone

"Where are you?"

It was at that moment it dawned on him that it was Monday. quickly he picked the wrist watch on the table and checked the time

"Uhm..., I'm coming" he ended up saying.

Mr Rufus rushed into the bathroom and freshened up. He wore his favorite shoes and jeans. The sore of the shoe had a few colors that gave it a good look.

He rushed outside with his old bag as he hastened to get a cab. He wasn't aware of a peeled banana when he stepped on it making him go off balance. He struggled to maintain his position as he resisted himself from falling but friction failed him sending him to the ground. He lay on the floor with pains in his joints. Neighbors who heard the sound of someone falling came out to help him. Mr Rufus kept rumbling in pain. Maybe the gods doesn't want me to be in school today he thought, for he was a man who believed in signs and warnings against impending dangers.

He called at the school explaining all that had happened.

"Take this week off and have a proper treatment" the principal told him. Mr Rufus was glad the injury was minor, now he had a week to himself to rest properly.
