Percy, The Australian Pelican

Once upon a time, in the sun-kissed land of Australia, there lived a majestic Pelican called Percy. She was known as the queen of the river side where she spent her entire day fishing, and swimming. Unlike the other pelicans, percy had a mixed feather color of black and white and was considered to be the odd one among her fellow Pelicans.

While the other Pelicans were content with lounging in the riverbanks, Percy had a thirst for adventure. She spends most of her time discovering coves and secret fishing spots. She was always bent on putting herself in places of advantage against rainy days. As a loner, it gave her time to do the things she loved.

Luck shone on Percy one fateful day while she was paddling along, she spotted a group of ducklings which wandered around the waterside. Percy didn't hesitate in rendering assistance to them as she guided them home. Percy's kindness soon spread abroad as other birds desired to know who Percy was. As the years passed by, Percy became a beloved figure in the Australia wilderness. Her name grew over time for her act of kindness earning her the title "Guardian of the Australian sea". Percy never sought recognition but her wide knowledge of coves and secret spots became an essential demand in the Murray. Every morning when the blazing sun peeps its head over the cloud, Percy will fly to the riverside and await to help as many who seek her assistance.
