These two words work hand in hand

They unit people when combined but breaks them when used alone
For example, one could ask;
Why laughing at me?
Why making fun of me?
These two questions lead to quarrelling and fight
How about quarrelling and fight?

These two words work independently and combined but very effective at one direction.
They make a solution because of their solubility
They burn so hard and their flame is tougher than that of a petrol flame.
They burn down careers and jobs
They make cracks that can't be fixed
They create boundaries that can be seen from the moon.
Just two words and it's all over.
