What is the happiest day in Indonesia? The answer is Eid Al-Fitr. Yeay! The day is full of happiness because everyone feels happy and grateful for the blessings given by God.

For those of you who are not from Indonesia. Here is the reason to understand!

Did you know that the majority of Indonesian people are Muslim? Well, because most of us share the same religion. Eid al-Fitr is a very special and widely discussed celebration. Every newspaper, television, and social media always talk about activities to enliven the Eid al-Fitr.

But even so. Each region carries out its own traditions. Moreover, Indonesia is famous for having many islands. So making a celebration in the same way is not so suitable to live.

To prepare for the holidays. Many people beautify their houses, yards, and street corners with many twinkling lights. There are also those who design the interior of their house to make it look aesthetic. There are also those who make firecrackers from plastic filled with certain gases to enliven various activities on the holiday.

Each region has its own way. But in essence, they all celebrate the moment of Eid al-Fitr with full of happiness. They forgive each other. They keep in touch with their relatives and friends and much more.

In my own area, it is common practice to provide snacks at home. The number can be very large. The goal is to welcome guests who will come to the house to apologize and forgive each other.

People would go around the village and stop at every house! Nothing can be left behind. Because this moment is used for that: closer relationships that sometimes get further apart due to several things.

To prepare for activities around the village forgiving. Usually people also wear nice clothes. One month before the holiday is used to prepare for various things and one of them: buying clothes.
