Way Maker.

In a world where darkness rules and feast on the souls of human as if it own them, arrived a shimmery light of hope paved way for the presence of humanity.

For centuries, humans wallow in grief and were lost because of their hateful hearts toward one another. The god of men, Orisa, also known as the god of the universe decided to send down rains of agony to them and shut down his ears to their pleas.

Their painful voice was not heard for a very long year until a child was born to earth. The child brought hope to humans as his body shone a little light once on a full moon. This aggravated the soul of the humans into wanting to see the light every day so they looked up to Orisa and continued pleading to him to help lessen the pain in their lives. They came out bare to him and wailed endlessly with tons of promises at the tip of their tongues. They were desperate and in need of a miracle.

Miracles some say do not exist while others say it does... Only if you believe. This is why humans never stopped their pleas to Orisa when the child that shone light once in a full moon was born. It lightened their heart towards saying the right words and for the very first time in a millennium, Orisa opened his ears and heard them.

Their wails were heart-wrenching and Orisa felt pain for neglecting them for so long. To appease his heart, Orisa decided to grant their request but they would work for it. He gave them great wisdom to search for some items to make something extraordinary. A lantern that humans called, "Way Maker" as it lightens up their way.

Humans gathered themselves in darkness and searched for items needed to make a lantern. After some months, they finally constructed a lantern with no light. They called on Orisa again to tell him they have done as he has said and Orisa gave them multiple wisdom to lighten it up by hitting two stones together.

Humans did as they were told again and hit two stones together and truly, a miracle happened as a single light rose from the lantern and shined so brightly that humans closed their eyes for a little while and opened them bit by bit until their eyes got adjusted to the light.

There was music in the air and happiness reigned. They were so grateful to Orisa that they never cease to worship and adore him as he had given them great wisdom to create a lantern.

They were also thankful to the baby whose light shone once on a full moon. Also, humans decided to have the lantern made kept on a pathway as the name of the lantern depicts, "Way Maker".

Looking at the image above, I can see a gem made by humans to lighten their way home so that they will never be lost.

Seeing the lantern, I feel safe and not alone as the evil that lurks in the dark can't get to me.

A picture can speak more than a thousand words and the words used above are what it speaks to me. What about you?
