Obi is a bright student. He finished top of his class; in fact he was the best graduating student of his department. He was celebrated on the day of his graduation. But he had a wish which is to further his studies in one of the top universities in the world. He does not however have the resources and all it takes financially to make this happen.
He simply retired to his village where he picked up a part time teaching job in one of the nearby secondary school where he collects a paltry sum as salary. But he kept faith and never gave up on his dreams.
One day, a mail was recieved in the secondary school where he teaches. It was addressed to Obi specifically. The headmaster had to send for Obi and when he came he handed over the beautiful mail to him. Obi gleefully opened it and lo and behold it is a full time scholarship from a top university. Obi's eyes opened as if he is intoxicated. He leaped up and down with joy. He was full of smiles throughout the remaining part of the day.
At home he waited till dinner before he could break the good news to his extended family over dinner. He is expected to resume studies in few days time.
In the morning, the family gathered and prayed for him to have a successful academic stay in the foreign land and also return home to meet all of them alive. After the prayers, Obi left for the motor park for onward movement to the airport.
