Chris was elected the President of the Tricycle Association. His tenure is for one year. His predecessor handed over a substantial amount of money to him. By the association rules, it is the President that controls the funds if the association including the monthly dues members pay.

Chris has always been eyeing the position of the association President for a long time. He knows that it is a powerful position with enough funds attached to it. He had contested three times in the past and each time he will fail because he was contesting against more credible candidates.

Now that he has gotten the mantle of leadership he started perfecting how he will recoup all the monies he spent campaigning in his three unsuccessful bids to clinch the presidential seat. He had to throw dirt in the faces of his association members in order to tactfully steal from the association purse.

Firstly, he had to conjure a good distraction during the monthly meetings of the association. Each time the association meet and whenever the records of income and expenses are mentioned Chris' phone will ring and he will suddenly engage in a long conversation over the phone such that his colleagues will excuse him. He will thereafter tell them that he is expected in a meeting with some state officials. This tactics continued for months.

Chris has just a month to hand over. He decided to throw the final dirt in their faces by organizing and paying for a workshop on road signs and safety for all the members of his association . He entertained all lavishly and handed over some weeks after the workshop. He wrote off millions from the association coffers as what he used to organise the workshop and the associated entertainment.

When asked to come and render account of his stewardship for one year Chris with mention the workshop and the entertainment as where he spent virtually all the association money. The whole house was speechless.
