Glory is the only daughter of his father and a very pretty damsel. Whenever she walks down the street men usually make passes at her. She knows she is beautiful so she carries herself majestically and always exuding full confidence.
Many men had approached her for marriage but she turned all down. Most people see her as arrogant and as a spoilt child. She cared less to what people think about her.
She has a friend Dike who has been with her for years dating back to their high school days. Dike initially had no feelings towards her. In fact, he sees her as a mere friend. It was actually Dike's brilliance and ability to dismantle arithmetics with ease that drew her to him.
However, one incident happened one day that changed Dike's perception and attitude towards Glory. The duo were given a very tough class assignment on mathematics which is expected to be submitted the best day. They fixed a discussion over it and as they were brainstorming and solving the mathematical equation Dike as always tried various formalae and finally stumbled on one which gave them the desired answer. Glory was elated and gave Dike a sensual look and I the process revealing a greater part of of her brown eyes. Dike who has been with her for years now has never seen this romantic side of Glory. He was so captivated by the romantic look that even his own had to fall off his hands. He merely held Glory's hands and kissed it.
Glory did not feel embarrassed or ashamed of the act. From that day henceforth, their relationship as mere friends changed to lovers. Dike will always make an eye contact with Glory ostensibly to see her brown eyes which intoxicates him like a local gin. The love grew with each passing day they had in the university.
