This is my entry for Day 1983: 5 Minute Freewrite: Tuesday - Prompt: can you swim
They kept on running for their dear lives, a simple fun hike that they are planning turned into something so horribly wrong. They have no idea which route they mistook, but now they are in life and death situation in the thickest part of the jungle.
But their run meets suddenly stops because there is no more land for them to run on. They find themselves in the edge of a cliff overlooking a big and unforgiving river down there.
The sound of the heavy steps is getting near, which means the unknown big scary creature that chasing them is getting closer. There is nowhere to run.
"can you swim?" the taller person ask.
Then the shorter one felt someone is shoving his body down to the river without even having any chance to answer the question.
Now the danger from that scary creature is gone for both of them as the taller one manages to do a quick push before the hand of that big creature catches both of them.
But there is another problem for the to handle, the shorter ones actually can't swim.
