Donald has been living in the countryside all through his life. Immediately he finished his secondary school education one of his uncles who lives in the city promised to come around during the new yam festival and take him to the city where he will learn a trade. He was elated with the news and could not hide his feelings about it.
He told all his friends and anybody who cares to listen that he will soon become a city dweller! He just couldn't wait any longer for the D-Day to come.
Just as he had promised, Donald's uncle came for the new yam festival. And after the three day festival, he took Donald to the city to learn how to repair electrical appliances and probably further his education too.
When Donald arrived at the city many things caught his fancy especially the road networks and layout of buildings. These features look strange to him as he always find it difficult to connect the proper route back home whenever he goes out in the morning. But with the passage of time he started knowing his way and how to even navigate through shortcuts whenever the traffic becomes unbearable.
Having spent eleven months in the city his uncle promised to take him home during the Christmas festive period. He was happy as he had gathered so many stories he intends to share with his friends about life in the city. The countdown to visit home also began as his excitement hightens with the festive period drawing closer.
