High temperature: a condition that is associated with fever can be caused by series of things including but not limited to one's body system fighting an infection. A sudden and unexpected event or happening can also lead to high temperature. This was the case with Jack as we will see hereinafter.
Jack prides himself as the king of the "playboys". He has dated Kate for over 4 years now and decided that it is time he settles down with her. However, in addition to Kate, Jack also have about 5 other 'side chicks' whom he has been seeing without each knowing that Jack have other girls beside them. He, as the acclaimed king and wizard of double-dating knows how to cover his tracks whenever he is with any of the girls.
Prior to his formal engagement with Kate, Jack decided it is time to play his last card with the girls, his last games with each of them. He hatched a good plot and decided to follow it to the later. His plan was to spend one week with each of the girls and thereafter he will cut the ties with all of them.
He decided to take a short vacation exclusively for that purpose and honestly he spent so much catching fun with the girls.
After he had finished with the last of the girls he decided to break the ice about his disentanglement with them. Each of the girls however expressed shock about it. Some refused to part ways, insisting that they are deeply in love with Jack. Jack stood his ground. It is all over, he maintained. He stopped their visits to them. He stopped calling and even answering and returning their calls. He has set his eyes on Kate as his wife to be and he must make it happen.
Roughly eight weeks after his escapades, Jack announced his wedding with Kate and it was well publicised. Jack's other girls got the news and deeply felt bad about the whole affair. They couldn't take it just like that. Three out of the five girls started noticing changes in their body system and decided to run some tests. Unsurprisingly, all the three girls got positive pregnant tests results! Each, without knowing the involvement of the other girls, decided to pay Jack an unscheduled visit albeit his strict instructions of never to have anything again to do with them.
The first girl came and told Jack about the pregnancy. Jack refused to take responsibility. As he was with the first girl, the second girl came in with her own test result. The second girl was surprised to see another girl in Jack's apartment weeping profusely. She also told Jack about her ordeal which he also refused to take responsibility of. As if that was not enough, the third girl sauntered in with her own test result. Immediately Jack saw her he knew that all was not well and as the third girl unveiled her own package Jack's temperature became high. Oh, Kate, dear me!!! How am I going to handle all these now? He muttered slowly.
