The defending champions FC Elephant have been stuttering in their domestic campaign this season. They have switched off the gas a little after winning the domestic title and the continental crown. Complacency have thus set in. They have managed to win just one out of five of their matches o the whole. It is indeed their worse start in a decade.

Many sports lovers had expected a smooth ride in the early stages in defence of their domestic title. But the reverse is the case. Nobody could explain what was really wrong with the team. Most pundicts havever point to the fact that they have just recruited four players to inject more vim into the team and they are yet to blend and gel. They thus believe that the Elephant Warriors will come good at some point in the league.

Many still wonder how they manage to play expansive games at the continental level while struggling to cut an egde at the domestic level. Their expansive footballing had seen them progress to the next round of the continental competition. Their supporters more or less wish them well and translate that superlative form to the local scene otherwise they will wave goodbye to their domestic crown which they are defending.
