The goat has been fed for days now. Rex has become accustomed to it such that he does not allow anybody to gather it's food. He has taken it upon himself to care and fend for it as long as it remains in their house.

Meanwhile his elder sister is scheduled to return to his newly married home the next day. The goat has been bought for that purpose. It is to be given to her for rearing purposes. It is not to be killed or sold out. It infact signifies multiplication.

Rex was told about the sister's impending crossover to her husband's home. He felt bad initially that the she-goat will be carried away to his in-laws house. He has become sentimentally attached to the goat. He decided to feed it the last time.

Rex went out very early in the morning in search of the last meal for the she-goat. He harvested the best leave and returned as soon as possible. Immediately the goat sighted him, it stated bleating and scratching the surface of the earth. It was also find of Rex as well. The bond between them now is inexplicable.

Rex gradually lowered the leaves ands watch the she-goat chew them. It was not in a hurry to chew it. It knows that all belongs to it. It has not competitor. Rex watches as the goat savoured the well selected palmfronds and forget leaves mixed with it. This indeed will be your last meal here so eat to your full now, Rex wonders aloud.

Later that day the she-goat was taken away to begin a new life in the house of the inlaw to Rex. He could not hide his anguish but had to let go. That is the custom.
