Jane found work having waited for nearly three years after graduation from the high school. She was grateful to God for providing her with this very work as she had dreamt and yearned about it for years. She resumed her work as the company secretary on the first day of the month of April (peak period of the rainy season). She also made sure she turned up on time, being her first day at work.
But it was not all that rosy as she met some barriers on her way to work. She missed the company's coaster bus which would have conveyed her to work without paying any transport fare. She had to make do with the city's metro cab.
As if that was not enough, she faced more barriers on her way back from work. It is the peak of the rainy season and she forgot to go to work with an umbrella and rain coat. As she stepped out from her office to trek to the train station, rains came and got her bathed. She was well soaked All over. All her makeup washed away and stained her fine white blouse.
She then started thinking about future business which could also bring her some passive income. She needs her own car urgently. But at present none of the business ideas which came up tickles her fancy.
She then settled for poultry business. But her neighbour who ventured into it sometime ago lost everything to poachers and bird flu. She quickly dispelled that thought. Soon she arrived home and was greeted by her beautiful dog with a wagging tail. Now at home she thought of first hiring a cab in the morning to ease her transportation woes to her new place of work. But she does not have enough finances to back up this idea. She resigned to fate...wake up on time always so as to use the company coaster bus or make do with the metro cabs.
