Greetings my dear Hive community!!!
Good afternoon my dear Hivers!!! πππ
How strange to greet you during the day, as normally my posts are at night. But this time, I had to stay up until the wee hours of the morning to finish the final touches for my #Splinterlands art contest entry. I didn't want to miss it this week!!! π«²π»ππ«±π»
Also, it took me longer than usual due to the fact that I was playing #Splinterlands to earn more chests. Although I dropped from Silver III to Bronze I, I guess it was due to the end of the season as the competition got more intense and I was up against some really good players. In the end, I got 58 chests, and although it was difficult, I got quite a few cards, including some summoners. I didn't do too bad this season, considering it was my first!!!! (from a long time ago). I'm happy to be growing my deck of cards. π₯³πΎπππ
Well, getting back on the topic of my art contest entry, I have to say that I had a bit of a hard time deciding what to do this week. I had a creative block, which is weird, since I usually have my "tactics" to prevent that from happening. Maybe it was the stress, I don't know. After much effort, I finally decided to do an illustration of this rogue thief named -=VRUZ=-, a skilled kleptomaniac, for my entry.
I had some trouble making this illustration, as this character is of a smaller breed than the Gremlins and from birth had the ability to take what belongs to others. Therefore, I had to make him look small. I edited his size several times to try to achieve this. ππβΊοΈ
I hope you like my illustration this week. You'll find the whole process, both in video and images below β¬οΈβ¬οΈβ¬οΈ, so you can see how I worked on this new illustration. Yes, I know I'm annoying about this!!! But if you like my art, feel free to support me by giving me a "like" and "subscribing" to my YouTube channel Plz. πππ»
Before you see how I worked on my illustration, I invite you to read a little bit of the story of this mischievous character. It's a lot of fun and, although it's long, I'll leave a part of it for you to go and read on the #Splinterlands page:
βNow you stay put, Jabir,β Vruz said, shaking a finger at the fat troll. The little gremlin stood less than half a meter tall, not even halfway to his friendβs knee, but Jabir took a step back all the same.
βWhy don't ya use magic?β the troll asked, scratching his head.
Vruz sighed. βHow many times do I have tell you? Not all gremlins can use magic.β
But Jabir had already lost interest and was trying to dislodge something from up his nose. Vruz shook his head in dismay...

I had a crazy idea in my head! At first, I drew the head and that was easy, but the rest of the illustration was another story. After receiving a recommendation, I started to shape the idea: a cave full of treasures stolen by our cunning character. Quite the roguish little thief. ππ€π€π€
-.-
After a lot of thinking about what position to do it in, I finally found the perfect position for my character and decided to add some colors. Even though they were just base colors, everything seemed to go well up to this point. π―π―π―
-.-
After a while more I had advanced a bit more detailing things, but I wasn't satisfied with that, so I kept working on my illustration and started detailing the little rascal's loot so I started "at that moment" adding some coins and energy crystals. π°π°π°
-.-
At this point, my illustration was better rendered, but I realized that the booty needed more stuff (he steals everything that gets in his way!!!) so I added a couple more things, including a ring that mentioned the history of the character, so I wanted to add this detail. π€πππ»π
-.-
Yes!!! At this point, our little friend had some awesome swag. I also added a couple of jewels I had drawn in other illustrations I had done for #Splinterlands. even that he ended up stealing π€£π€£π€£. But how sneaky!!! ππ±π
Beware!!! As you read this, it's possible that your pockets are unattended and this crafty little thief is on the prowl. Keep your valuables very close!!! β οΈβ οΈβ οΈ
I recommend it. π€£π€£π€£
-.-
Coming to the final stretch of my illustration there was a little problem with a light dip, and after that I continued and started to give my character the brightness and luminosity he deserves, like a real treasure!!!! Also, at this point, detail even better the teeth of this little guy, he has to have a radiant smile to impress anyone who crosses his path!!! π π π
-.-
SPEED PAINTING
In the end I just had to put the final touches to finish my illustration, I just hope it's not too late so I can enter this week's contest. It took me longer than expected, but in the end I am very happy with the final result. π₯³ π€π»π
I hope you also loved my work and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support. π«Άπ»π«Άπ»π«Άπ»
