Back in 2017, I decided I wanted to teach myself how to oil paint. This was my second go at it, for a fairy tale themed art exhibit at Milkcrate Gallery in Maryland. I really liked the medium, but ultimately went back to acrylic. It's quicker to dry which suits my painting style and I was too paranoid about rags spontaneously combusting and burning my house down.
The meaning behind the painting is making the correlation between the Snow White story and the story of Eve being tempted into eating the forbidden apple of knowledge. The text in the background is actually both the passages from Snow White and the Bible where innocence is tempted and ultimately corrupted.
