Today I bring my new participation in the Splinterlands weekly art contest, for this occasion I bring a great Fanart of the "Celestial Harpy" card. I chose to draw this character because I love the style he has, he looks more or less like an angel, I love the colors that this card has, especially his eyes, I found them beautiful, the shades of light and intense blue makes him look pretty good. I loved drawing this character. I hope you enjoy it
The harpies of the Celestial Clan are so named because they inhabit the highest peaks of the Splinterlands mountains and prefer peace to violence. Their feathers are the blue and white colors of the sky, making them hard to see for anyone on the ground. They sing beautiful melodies that can sometimes be heard in a gentle spring breeze. Living in peaceful clans, harpies are left alone and immerse themselves in a world of beauty, art and freedom.
Here is the process of my drawing:
To start my sketch I looked for a couple of ideas of how I could make the pose of the character. I decided to make her standing, facing me, with her head a little bit tilted to the side and with her hands on her waist. Really positioning the hands was quite difficult, I think it was one of the things that took me the longest to do, I couldn't find a good way to adjust them, at the last moment I was able to correct them hehehe.
After finishing my sketch I started to outline all my drawing. For most of the character I used an eyeliner number 0.1. For the wings I used an outliner number 0.3. For this step I concentrated a lot, I like to outline my drawings in a precise way. I left the eyes unlined for two reasons, this was a very small area and I was afraid to ruin it, and because I wanted to do it directly with color, I thought it would look much better like this. And well, we can see that I was able to accommodate the hands, I think they were very nice.

For the skin I first gave a layer of flesh color, very light, and then I added a combination of purple and pink to get a lilac color, I drew the whole body and then I went on to make the shadows. The eyes I drew them with a dark blue color, also the eyelashes.

Now with a blue color I gave a little more color to the body, and I added several shadows, I also used the night blue color for stronger shadows.
This accessory reminds me a little bit of the crowns that the girls who dance during carnival in my country use to wear. I used the colors navy blue and light blue for the feathers and the gem in front, and with a yellow color I gave some small lines of illumination on the gem on the forehead and also on the face.

I made the plumage that covers the body of the character with different shades of blue and I also used the yellow color to lighten a little the plumage on the chest part.

I used the colors night blue, navy blue and light blue to make the wings, I drew the two wings and did some blurring on the big feathers that conform them, leaving a little clear the tips, as the Celestial Harpy's biography shows, their blue wings represent the clouds and the sky. The wings have some fangs and I wanted to make them crimson red.
And to finish I illuminated some areas of the body using an eraser to give some shine, and I used a yellow color to give illumination.
This is how my drawing would be finished. It was very beautiful, it really exceeded my expectations. And what did you think? I hope you liked it. I would like to know your opinion about it.

Hoy traigo mi nueva participación en el concurso semanal de arte Splinterlands, para esta ocasión traigo un gran Fanart de la tarjeta de "Celestial Harpy". Elegí dibujar este personaje porque me encanta el estilo que tiene, se parece mas o menos a un ángel, amo los colores que tiene esta carta, en especial sus ojos, me parecieron hermosos, los tonos de azul claro e intenso lo hace lucir bastante bien. Ame dibujar a este personaje. Espero que lo disfruten
Las arpías del Clan Celestial se llaman así porque habitan en los picos más altos de las montañas de Splinterlands y prefieren la paz a la violencia. Sus plumas son de los colores azul y blanco del cielo, lo que las hace difíciles de ver para cualquier persona en el suelo. Cantan hermosas melodías que a veces se pueden escuchar en una suave brisa primaveral. Viviendo en clanes pacíficos, las arpías se quedan solas y se sumergen en un mundo de belleza, arte y libertad.
Aquí les dejo el proceso de mi dibujo:
Para empezar mi boceto busque un par de ideas de como podría hacer la pose del personaje. Decidí por hacerla parada, de frente, con la cabeza un poco inclinada de lado y con las manos en la cintura. Realmente posicionar las manos se me hizo bastante difícil, creo que fue una de las cosas en las que mas me tarde en hacer, no encontraba una buena manera de ajustarlas, a ultimo momento fue que pude corregirlas jejeje.
Luego de terminar mi boceto empecé a delinear todo mi dibujo. Para la mayoría del personaje use un delineador numero 0.1. Para las alas use un delineador numero 0.3. Para este paso me concentre bastante, me gusta delinear mis dibujos de manera precisa. Los ojos los deje sin delinear por dos razones, esta era un área muy pequeña y me daba miedo arruinarla, y porque quería hacerla directamente con color, pensé que quedaría mucho mejor así. Y bueno, podemos ver que pude acomodar las manos, pienso que quedaron muy bonitas.

Para la piel primero di una capa de color carne, muy clarita, y luego añadí una combinación de morado y rosa para conseguir un color lila, dibuje todo el cuerpo y después seguí por hacer las sombras. Los ojos los dibuje con un color azul oscuro, también las pestañas.

Ahora con un color azul di un poco mas de color al cuerpo, y añadí varias sombras, también use el color azul noche para sombras mas fuertes.
Este accesorio me recuerda un poco a las coronas que suelen usar las chicas que bailan en las épocas de carnaval en mi país. Use los colores azul marino y azul claro para las plumas y la gema que tiene en frente, y con un color amarillo di unas pequeñas líneas de iluminación en la gema de la frente y también en la cara.

Hice el plumaje que tapa el cuerpo del personaje con diferentes tonos de azul y también use el color amarillo para iluminar un poco el plumaje de la parte del pecho.

Use los colores azul noche, azul marino y azul claro para hacer las alas, dibuje las dos alas y les hice algunos difuminados en las grandes plumas que las conforman, dejando un poco claras las puntas, como muestra la biografía de los Celestial Harpy, sus alas de color azul representas las nubes y el cielo. Las alas tienen unos colmillitos y las quise hacer de rojo carmesí.
Y para terminar ilumine algunas zonas del cuerpo usando una goma para dar algunos brillos, y use un color amarillo para dar iluminación.
Así es como quedaría terminado mi dibujo. Quedo muy hermoso, supero realmente mis expectativas. Y a ti que te pareció? Espero que te haya gustado. Me gustaría saber tu opinión al respecto.
