"Sunday Mornin' Chillin' Artz" by Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

Today is a rare "Don't have to get up and go" morning, so I decided to lay in bed and finish some ARTZ that have been sitting, incomplete, on my phone. First up is a WACKY collaboration with my granddaughter, Felicity:

She loves to scribble over eyes (who doesn't?), so I tried to digitally trace her marks (she's loose with her line and frantic, so it wasn't easy) to give her contribution a bit of a boost.

This following piece is from the same drawing session as the raar above (she calls monsters "raars," which is pretty funny.) I don't think Felicity drew much on this one, but I tried to keep that SPIRIT alive...

Next up is a doodle that I drew on the back off an "ADD-N-PASS" package that I mailed out yesterday. Inside the package where a couple of hand-made books full of collages and drawings. I contributed a page or two to each, then shipped them on to the next person, but not before getting a snap of my little scribble...

The last two are both notebook sketches. It's interesting to me how DIFFERENT an image becomes when it goes from line art to digitally colored, finished piece. (And I'm also very aware that my definition of "finished" doesn't jive with what most people's understanding of the term might be. What can I say? I like it ROUGH...)

[The image at the top of this post is a MOSHED version of this final piece...]

And that's all I had time to complete before Mariah woke up and let the cats into the bedroom when she headed for the bathroom... (Obviously, no work gets accomplished with a giant orange tabby crawling all over you demanding attention.)

That's it for now! Thanks for stopping by!!!
