Mr. O has sent this dispatch to the Primitive Bunker! Enjoy the shenanigans!!!

"Branch Manager"

The small Koothus were terrified,
their lives under threat.
Weyerhaeuser had moved in,
concerned with their gross and their net.

But the Koothus lived here,
they could live as they please.
Their antlorns curved forward,
and to hang, they needed the trees.

See, the Koothus were delectable,
their flesh tender and sweet.
They were delicious enough
to make vegans eat meat.

They had no defenses,
adding to the Koothu distress.
Their avoidance of extinction,
even Darwin would impress.

Kip was the branch manager,
so the Koothus did as he said.
He selected safe tree branches
for each to hang his sweet head.

But now without trees,
Kip Koothu did worry.
He needed to find their new home,
and it must be done in a hurry.

He first tried power lines,
since they had nothing to lose.
But the lines were uncomfortable,
and, besides, human kids threw their old shoes.

They moved to a clothesline,
but that was no good.
It was humiliating to hang next to human unmentionables;
they needed some wood.

Kip had an idea!
He consulted Koothus Jimmy and Betsy.
Soon the Koothus were a hot item,
as living Christmas ornaments on Etsy.

A wonderful Christmas Eve,
Koothus hanging without a peep,
all sharpened their antlorns,
chanting, “Sleep, humans, sleeeep.”

That poem reminds me of the Xmas Massacre of 2003! Ha ha ha!!! (The "MAINSTREAM MEDIA" tried to hide the fact that all the Koothus suddenly gained a bunch of weight over the holiday season---but whatever... That's what people get for having living ornaments!)

THANK YOU Mr. O for another fantastic literary treat!!!

Meanwhile, I've been toying with lots of transparent characters lately, like these critters:

"And," you might ask, "what can you DO with transparent characters like this???" Easy, I can drop them over any background that I want, like this:

...or like THIS:

It's great fun! My technique, so far, has been drawing super-sketchy characters on paper or cardboard, then photographing the sketch, dropping it into a free app on my phone, then opening a new layer and tracing the sketch onto its own file, and finally, dropping the background out. (I can then color and flip and change the size of the digitized character at will! If you have any questions about this technique, drop them below! If I can answer them, I will!!!)

I have more junk to share, but this is probably enough for tonight! Thanks for stopping by!!!
