Process / Proceso

The sketch was made with a normal pencil, it was very fluid and I didn't stay long time thinking about what to draw, the position come out like I wanted and it was very cool don't have to correct it over and over, so maybe in that way I'm improving a little ʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔ.

At time of colouring was difficult for me to start, I'm always afraid of start it and making a mess, doubts about the color and that kind of things, but despite all my insecurities, I was trying, something that demotivated me was that my paints have like 10 years an they are really dry, but I was thinking about the ancient artists who had to scrape stones, shred leaves and flowers and a lot of things that were even toxic to obtain small amounts of pigments, so dry poster paints were not going to discourage me and then I scraped them and added water.

Then I added base colours, I started to detail her face, slowly it was taking shape and that encouraged me to trust the process, I painted the blue hair inspired by water, calm and serene, the yellow eyes that I always like to add to my characters, btw this is an original character, I focused a lot in her eyes and added a red outline on all her body, that took me some time to try because I'm practicing several combinations.

It's amazing how you can adding more details and details and the drawing is taking sahpe, even when added a color that was not seen and after drying we can noticing, I made several mistakes and I was correcting the proportions and was surprised that the paint was covering, it is noteworthy that it is not oil painting but super old poster paints ( ´ ▽ ` )/
