Blue shadows / Traditional illustration

This is a drawing I did to practice shadows and facial expressions. Like I use to, I just started the sketch and then filled with pencil. But at the end I wanted to add some color while keeping the black and white parts in the face, and this was the result.

I used a regular pencil for the face and crayons (blue spectrum) for the shadows and background. It would be fun try this same portrait using oil painting! That could be really interesting, for now, just basic materials.
