Il 19 aprile del 1943, il dottor Albert Hofmann, in forza ai laboratori della Sandoz, a Basilea, testava su se stesso 250ug del composto da lui inventato, dando luogo alla prima assunzione volontaria di LSD-25 della storia dell'umanità. Il suo ritorno a casa in preda alle visioni divenne il più celebre giro in bici di tutti tempi.

His return home in the grip of visions became the most famous bike ride of all time.
