RE: Let's Discuss Art!

Dear @stayoutoftherz I really appreciate your finger on the painful truth. You are absolutely right that the museum itself will never leave its centralized structure and mindset. Their funding relies on the governmental subsidies, on the private donors who find delight in patronship and they design their program within their curatorial boundaries. So why then call it DAO? My silent question is - so why then call it MAK DAO?
We will establish a DAO for sure, one for applied art based on a foundation of engagement rather than yields, supported by the Hive blockchain infrastructure and the beauty of the Hive reward system itself. I thought a lot about why calling it MAK DAO - apart from the past project obligation that it was the MAK that tried to enter the decentralized world in the first place and then somewhat got cold feet when realizing what decentralization meant for them. I can only quote @solymi who put it very charmingly that way (quoting how I remember it): Call it MAK DAO for the beginning, the museum is there and there are some connections and obligations. And if they can't relate because they are too afraid, we will move on to another name chosen by the community and the MAK DAO will remain there written into the blockchain for ever, as a reminder of the museum's (failed) attempt.
Does that sound reasonable to you?
