Y es también la primera vez que voy a incursionar en esta dinámica comunidad con un trabajo a color, ya que tradicionalmente he participado con dibujos a plumilla, a grafito, o a bolígrafo.
En este primer intento confieso que me sentí un poco amarrado, pues ya me siento cómodo haciendo los dibujos con esos instrumentos, aunque también los procesos son más agotadores y quizás de más tiempo en la ejecución.
Para esta ronda seleccioné del paquete de cartas de splintercards una que representa el espíritu de los bosques(spiritus of the florest)
Para realizar lo que yo considero un dibujo coloreado utilice una cartulina Canson de 34cm x 27cm, de color verde. Una cajita de acuarelas, diferentes colores de acrílico, dos pinceles de diferentes numeraciones, y un centropen con tinta negra.
Lo primero que hice fue un breve trazo de la figura principal con lapis HB. A continuación fui manchando el fondo con toques de colores a la acuarela con tonos cálidos de rojos y sienas. Y algunas líneas verticales para dar la sensación boscosa del fondo.
Después con el centropen empecé a contornear la imagen de la figura femenina a la cual ubique dentro de un tronco seco para darle un nuevo contexto. Además, tracé otras líneas en el fondo para ir insinuando troncos de árboles.
Confieso que realmente tuve que variar el esquema de trabajo, pues pensé en iluminar los detalles con lápices de colores, pero los colores de la acuarela no me reportaron el resultado que esperaba y tuve que apelar al uso del acrílico, el cual utilice en forma de aguada para lograr los efectos deseados.
El acrílico carece de la frescura de la acuarela, pero se acercó bastante a mi propósito. Así pude crear un fondo más oscuro para resaltar la figura principal, que ahora sostiene en su mano derecha un ave blanca y en la izquierda un nido con huevos, lo que puede significar la renovación de la vida en un bosque que se ve bastante deteriorado.
Con el uso de los sienas y rojos he querido dar el ambiente de floresta en tiempo de deterioro. Este aspecto se acentúa con con la expresión poco alegre de la mujer que representa o hace alegoría al espíritu de la floresta.
De ese modo, las iluminaciones las hice a pincel tipo sable para detalles, con toques de blanco de acrílico y amarillo de acuarela.
Ya planteada toda la escena con los colores, utilicé algunos toques de rosa para darle más sensualidad a la figura exótica del espíritu del bosque, lleva ramas verdes en su cabeza como coronación de la primavera que reverdece.
Para finalizar el trabajo, con el centropen remarque las líneas de contornos, y algunos detalles. Y así conservo el ambiente de fabulación de la carta de referencia.

Hello everyone over here. This time I want to be early for the new round of espiterlands.
And it's also the first time that I'm going to enter this dynamic community with a colour work, since I've traditionally participated with drawings in pencil, graphite or biros.
In this first attempt I confess that I felt a bit tied down, as I already feel comfortable doing the drawings with these instruments, although the processes are also more exhausting and perhaps more time-consuming to execute.
For this round I selected from the pack of splintercards a card representing the spiritus of the florest.
To make what I consider a coloured drawing, I used a 34cm x 27cm Canson cardboard, green in colour. A small box of watercolours, different acrylic colours, two brushes of different numbers, and a centropen with black ink.
The first thing I did was a brief outline of the main figure with lapis HB. Then I stained the background with touches of watercolour with warm tones of reds and siennas. And some vertical lines to give the wooded feeling of the background.
Then with the centropen I began to outline the image of the female figure which I placed inside a dry trunk to give it a new context. In addition, I drew other lines in the background to insinuate tree trunks.
I confess that I really had to vary the scheme of work, as I thought of illuminating the details with coloured pencils, but the watercolour colours did not give me the result I expected and I had to appeal to the use of acrylics, which I used in the form of gouache to achieve the desired effects.
Acrylic lacks the freshness of watercolour, but it came quite close to my purpose. Thus I was able to create a darker background to highlight the main figure, who now holds in his right hand a white bird and in his left hand a nest with eggs, which may signify the renewal of life in a forest that looks rather decayed.
With the use of sienna and red I wanted to give the atmosphere of a forest in a time of decay. This aspect is accentuated with the not very cheerful expression of the woman who represents or makes allegory to the spirit of the forest.
Thus, the illuminations were made with a sabre brush for details, with touches of acrylic white and watercolour yellow.

Once the whole scene was set with the colours, I used some touches of pink to give more sensuality to the exotic figure of the spirit of the forest, carrying green branches on her head as a crowning of the greening spring.
To finish the work, I used the centropen to highlight the contour lines, and some details. And in this way I keep the fabulous atmosphere of the reference card.
