Hola queridos hivers.
En esta nueva ronda de Spiterlands, he introducido mi mano derecha en el mazo de cartas para escoger una al azar, y estoy satisfecho con la elección, pues esta me sigue llevando por el fabuloso mundo de la mitología, parte importante del pensamiento mágico religioso de las culturas originarias, sobre todo la del mundo pre Helénico, allá por las tierras dispersa en el mar Egeo y de tierra firme.
Confieso que deseaba encontrarme con esta carta, porque el personaje es muy simbólico y de gran importancia en el mundo griego por su función creadora.
En este caso, la postal referente está asociada al semi Dios Pan, un ser que es un híbrido: de la cabeza al torso, humano, y las extremidades inferiores de macho cabrio.
En la mitología griega, este personaje tiene como hábitat la naturaleza y su morada es una cueva cerca de las fuentes fluviales.(Lagos, ríos y arroyos)y su función dentro del mito es la fertilidad en todos los órdenes, por lo que se le considera un símbolo sexual.
Es básicamente el Dios de los pastores y de la agricultura
Este personaje trasmuta a la mitología Romana como el Fauno, casi con las mismas características y funciones.
El Dios Pan posee como sello personal una cornamenta en la cabeza que puede variar su forma a partir de las interpretaciones y versiones que se le hagan. En este caso la postal tiene cuernos de venado. Lo que me propició posibilidades para desarrollar el imaginario dibujistico.
En la rutina del proceso evolutivo del dibujo, he
tomado una hoja de papel tipo carta y un lapicero comercial de color azul.
Lo primero que hice fue un sencillo bosquejo de la cabeza como centro de la composición que irá creciendo alrededor de la misma. Después he ido introduciendo otros elementos como la cornamenta y la mano con brazalete decorado con guantera hasta la zona de los dedos.
Seguidamente, voy convirtiendo la cornamenta en una especie de árbol donde habita una pareja de aves que parece conversar amorosamente, y lianas colgantes para crear líneas suaves y expresivas que van tocando e integrando las diferentes partes de la obra.
Encima de la cabeza, desnuda y sujetando una rama y con la cabeza coronada, aparece la imagen de una doncella que pudiera representar a la primavera seducida por la sublime música que produce el ser mitológico con su maravillosa flauta.
La cabellera de la muchacha, en forma de suaves tentáculos, como batidos por la brisa, se va enredando en la cornamenta hasta convertirse también en finas lianas.
Esta composición la he realizado prescindiendo de la carta original para poder actuar con plena libertad creativa y de esta manera es una libre versión del mito.
En la mano derecha el personaje sostiene la flauta que forma parte de sus atributos y de la cual en la parte inferior brota suavemente agua y por la boquilla se eleva desde la entrada el envolvente y exótico cuerpo de una mujer que pudiera ser el espíritu de la música.
Como fondo, con insinuadoras líneas, he creado una atmósfera boscosa y la sensación de un espejo de agua que hace alusión visual al hábitat natural del mítico Pan.
También ubiqué la figura principal en un primer plano elevado para destacar al protagonista por sobre la inmensidad de la naturaleza de fondo.

Hello dear hivers.
In this new round of Spiterlands, I have introduced my right hand in the deck of cards to choose one at random, and I am satisfied with the choice, because it continues to take me through the fabulous world of mythology, an important part of the magical religious thought of the original cultures, especially the pre-Hellenic world, back in the lands scattered in the Aegean Sea and the mainland.
I confess that I wanted to find this card, because the character is very symbolic and of great importance in the Greek world for its creative function.
In this case, the reference postcard is associated with the half God Pan, a being that is a hybrid: from the head to the torso, human, and the lower extremities of a goat.
In Greek mythology, this character's habitat is nature and his dwelling is a cave near the fluvial sources (lakes, rivers and streams) and his function within the myth is fertility in all orders, so he is considered a sexual symbol.
He is basically the god of shepherds and agriculture.
This character transmutes to Roman mythology as the Faun, with almost the same characteristics and functions.
Godo Pan has as a personal seal an antler on his head that can vary its shape according to the interpretations and versions that are made. In this case the postcard has deer antlers. This gave me possibilities to develop the drawing imaginary.
In the routine of the evolutionary process of drawing, I have taken a sheet of paper
I took a sheet of letter paper and a blue commercial pencil.
The first thing I did was a simple sketch of the head as the center of the composition that will grow around it. Then I have been introducing other elements such as the antlers and the hand with bracelet decorated with glove box up to the fingers area.
Next, I am turning the antlers into a kind of tree where a couple of birds that seems to converse lovingly inhabits, and hanging vines to create soft and expressive lines that touch and integrate the different parts of the work.
Above the head, naked and holding a branch and with her head crowned, appears the image of a maiden that could represent the spring seduced by the sublime music produced by the mythological being with her marvelous flute.
The girl's hair, in the form of soft tentacles, as if whipped by the breeze, becomes entangled in the antlers until it also becomes fine vines.
I have made this composition dispensing with the original letter in order to be able to act with full creative freedom and in this way it is a free version of the myth.
In the right hand the character holds the flute that is part of his attributes and from which water gently gushes from the lower part and through the mouthpiece rises from the entrance the enveloping and exotic body of a woman who could be the spirit of the music.
As a background, with insinuating lines, I have created a wooded atmosphere and the sensation of a mirror of water that visually alludes to the natural habitat of the mythical Pan.
I also placed the main figure in a high foreground to highlight the protagonist over the immensity of nature in the background.
