Greetings to all lovers of handmade crafts! Welcome once again to my DC DIY workshop. This time I wanted to doodle a new Splinterlands character, which I have named Squire Koala. Join me and I'll show you the creative process.
I was invited to participate in a drawing contest, when I saw the rules I wanted to be inspired by a Splinterlands card, so I followed the parameters of the contest which were 3: create a new character that didn't exist, make the drawing on a letter size sheet and use the cyberpunk style.
For this project I used: 1 sheet of bond paper base 20, neon colored markers, black fine tip marker, black gel pen tip 0.5 millimeters, pencil, white oil pastel chalk.
I started by drawing the Koala in pencil. I love this animal, it is my favorite. I think they are very wise and tender bears, I don't know why they are not part of the Splinterlands card collection.
Then I colored it. I did some research on the cyberpunk style and it is characterized by bright colors in shades of sky blue, pink, orange and neon yellow. I took advantage of the marker to blend and degrade the color evenly throughout the drawing.
To fill in, I wanted to apply the Zentangle technique, characteristic of my Splinterlands Doodles. With the pen I started by making a thick border to delimit the figure of my Koala and then with many tiny lines I wanted to simulate the bear's fur.
It was a work of patience and above all strategy so as not to exhaust my arm. I'm not sure how many tiny lines I did but I assure you it was more than a thousand.
To mark the Koala's lips, I used longer strokes of lines to make the fur in this area look longer.
Finally, with the marker I painted the nose and with the oil pastel chalk I gave it light.
And this is how the character of Lo Koala Squire looked like. It took me 3 days to finish it in a specific time because of the nights I dedicated my time to it. I had a lot of fun creating this different concept of a new character. I think it lived up to my expectations.

Garabateando Splinterlands: Koala Squire cyberpunk | Un oso tierno que se quiere unir al equipo
¡Saludos a todos los amantes de las artes manuales! Sean bienvenidos una vez más a mi taller Bricolaje DC. Esta vez quise garabatear un nuevo personaje de Splinterlands, al que he llamado Koala Escudero. Acompáñenme y les muestro el proceso creativo.
Me invitaron a participar en un concurso de dibujo, cuando vi las reglas quise inspirarme en una carta de Splinterlands, entonces seguí los parámetros del concurso que eran 3: crear un nuevo personaje que no existiera, hacer el dibujo en una hoja tamaño carta y utilizar el estilo cyberpunk.
Para este proyecto utilicé: 1 hoja de papel bond base 20, marcadores punta puncel de colores neón, marcador punta fina de color negro, bolígrafo de gel color negro punta 0.5 milímetros, lápiz, tiza oleo pastel de color blanco.
Comencé haciendo a lápiz el Koala. Me encanta este animal, es mi favorito. Me parece que son unos osos muy sabios y tiernos, no sé porque no forman parte de la colección de cartas de Splinterlands.
Luego le di color. Investigué un poco sobre el estilo cyberpunk y se caracteriza por colores brillantes en tonos azul celeste, rosa, naranja y amarillo neón. Aproveché el marcador para combinar y degradar el color uniformemente por todo el dibujo.
Para rellenar, quise aplicar la técnica de Zentangle, característica de mis Garabatos de Splinterlands. Con el bolígrafo comencé haciendo un borde grueso que delimitara la figura de mi Koala y luego con muchas líneas diminutas quise simular el pelaje del oso.
Fue un trabajo de paciencia y sobre todo de estrategia para no agotar mi brazo. No estoy segura de cuántas líneas diminutas hice pero les aseguro que fueron más de mil.
Para marcar los labios del Koala, utilicé trazos más largos de líneas para que el pelo de esta área se viera más largo.
Para finalizar, con el marcador pinté la nariz y con la tiza oleo pastel le di luz.
Y así quedó el personaje de Lo Koala Squire. Me tomó 3 días terminarlo en un tiempo específico por las noches que le dedicaba mi tiempo. Me divertí mucho creando este concepto diferente de un personaje nuevo. Me parece que cumplió mis expectativas.
