Here’s my drawing for the splinterlands Art contest. This week, I chose to draw portrait of “Spirit of the Forest”.
This week I wanted to go back to the old cards and chose one of them. It’s been a long time that I’m participating in Splinterlands art contests and feels nostalgic to choose these cards. Spirit of the Forest looks so good with those marks on her face and also the branches around her hair.
I started my drawing with sketching a girl and then drawing the character’s features. I also drew an earring for her which looks so good on her.
Then I went on coloring her face and body.
Here I worked on her eyes, lips, and earring and then added more details on them by adding highlights. I also used glitter brush to add more highlights on the earring.
And here you see the progress of the hair. First, I started coloring her hair and shading then I drew a lot of hair strands. I used “Medium Airbrush”.
I designed multiple backgrounds, and disliked all of them. Since her skin and hair colors are all green the green background didn’t turn out her well. Everything was just green :D but it couldn’t be anything else since she is in a forest. So I used different tones of green. I also added lots of stars around her.
