Good evening to everyone.
Today I present you my @Splinterlands entry for this week, choosing this card that I liked a lot for the colors it has besides being part of the new cards that have me very excited "Blackmoor Nymph".
Although it was a drawing, let's say "fast" where I started the sketch last night and finished today in the afternoon, I liked how it turned out, besides I used these tones that I find so friendly to the eye, I sought to represent Blackmoor Nymph in a more peaceful and less aggressive way, I wanted something more like fantasy actually, what I most enjoyed painting was her hair, I wanted a hair with a lot of movement and a very magical green color, I tried to stick closely to the card with respect to the aesthetics of the card and accessories, I hope you like it.
For this opportunity I wanted a half body drawing, I made the sketch last night and then today in the morning I started to paint, for the skin I chose different purple tones and some green, I started to deposit them on the skin creating lights and shadows, then I added another layer where I placed more colors giving shape completely to the face and the rest of the body.
I added another layer where I started to mix the colors of the skin to have a smooth texture, then I started to paint the hair, using dark green, then I added some lights and shadows on the hair to give it realism, then I put a dark purple base for the clothes, I put some details of lights and shadows on the clothes, I also painted the branches on her arm, as I usually use dark backgrounds for my splinterlands drawings, this time I wanted to try with a light background, I chose a light turquoise color and applied some highlights on the tips of the hair, I wanted the character to look a little darker as the background was very bright, so I added a dark layer over the silhouette.
Well, I also painted the accessories and then I added a layer of lights, I illuminated a little bit the face in the part of the eyes, also the nose, mouth and costume, I also painted some pink lines simulating the power that I can see in the original card, finally I edited the image but without making so many changes since I liked how it looked.
