Hello friends. Let's put an end to this series of Tops that I have been bringing you since last week with some selections of the anime that aired in the previous winter season of this year. This time, we will talk about romance anime, which, as always, some of them managed to be among the most popular and acclaimed of these last three months. The one at the end gets all the attention, but we will also talk about romance anime with drama, adventure, mystery, fantasy and lots of comedy.
You know how this is handled: I'll be rating from 1 to 10 each anime, we'll start with "the worst" and end with "the best" of this year's winter season. I'll be giving my personal opinion, so surely some will disagree with the choices I make in this list.

Démosle fin a esta serie de Tops que les he estado trayendo desde la semana pasada con algunas selecciones de los anime que se emitieron en la anterior temporada de invierno de este año. En esta ocasión, hablaremos de los animes de romance, los cuales, como siempre, algunos lograron estar entre los más populares y aclamados de estos últimos tres meses. El qué se encuentra al final, se lleva toda la atención, pero también hablaremos de animes de romance con drama, aventura, misterio, fantasía y mucha comedia.
Ya saben cómo se maneja esto: estaré calificando del 1 al 10 cada anime, empezaremos con “el peor” y terminaremos con “el mejor” de la temporada de invierno de este año. Daré mi opinión personal, así que seguramente alguno no estará de acuerdo con las elecciones que tome en esta lista.
Let's start with a typical anime that mixes romance with fantasy, set in an alternative world to the real one and introducing us to somewhat interesting characters. However, this series went rather unnoticed this season due to its repetitive, predictable and uninteresting plot. Although it stands out in giving us a different story, the similarities it has with many other works of its style make it so obvious that it gets boring (similar to most of the Isekai anime nowadays).
The story introduces us to a girl who lived in an ancient kingdom as a princess, but was delivered by the people to be burned alive due to a revolt that took place. She is reincarnated in a world very similar to the real one where she makes the most of her life to change her way of being and manage to save the lives of as many people as she can, being a doctor. However, she suffers a plane crash and loses her life (again) and returns to her previous life, years before being delivered. Our protagonist will now have one more chance to change and show the world how capable she is to save lives.
Let's say that the interesting thing about this anime is the main plot, which presents us with the same protagonist living two lives. This character development that we are presented at the beginning is striking and captures a lot of attention by wanting to see the reactions of others to the changes she makes. However, outside of this, the anime is still a work where romance and drama reign, presenting situations that test our protagonist and show us what her relationship with others is like. Typical love affairs, love triangles, betrayals, deceit, envy, etc.
Personally, I give it a 6.5/10 rating as far as the romance and fantasy genre is concerned.
! [SPANISH VERSION] Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp
Empecemos con un anime típico que mezcla el romance con la fantasía, ambientada en un mundo alternativo al real y que nos presenta a personajes un tanto interesantes. Sin embargo, esta serie pasó bastante desapercibida esta temporada debido a su trama tan repetitiva, predecible y poco interesante. Si bien se destaca en darnos una historia distinta, las similitudes que tiene esta con muchas otras obras de su estilo la hacen tan evidentes que aburre (caso similar a la mayoría de los animes Isekai de la actualidad).
La historia nos presenta a una chica que vivió en un reino antiguo como princesa, pero fue entregada por el pueblo para ser quemada viva debido a una revuelta que hubo. Ella reencarna en un mundo muy similar al real donde aprovecha al máximo su vida para cambiar su forma de ser y conseguir salvar las vidas de todas las personas que pueda, siendo doctora. Sin embargo, ella sufre un accidente de avión y pierde la vida (otra vez) y vuelve a su vida anterior, años antes de ser entregada. Nuestra protagonista ahora tendrá una oportunidad más para cambiar y demostrarle al mundo lo capaz que es para salvar vidas.
Digamos que lo interesante que tiene este anime es la trama principal, la cual nos presenta a una misma protagonista viviendo dos vidas. Este desarrollo de personaje que nos presentan al principio es llamativo y capta mucho la atención al querer ver las reacciones de los demás ante los cambios que ella hace. Sin embargo, fuera de esto, el anime sigue siendo una obra donde impera el romance y el drama, presentando situaciones que ponen a prueba a nuestra protagonista y nos muestra cómo es su relación con los demás. Típicos amores, triángulos amorosos, traiciones, engaños, envidias, etc.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 6.5/10 en lo que respecta al género del romance y la fantasía.
Let's continue with another anime of romance and protagonists dying more than once in a first episode (the latter being what they exploit the most in this particular one). Outside the main plot, we can see in this work similarities with the previous anime and many others of its style that we surely know. However, in this case it can be said that what most captures the attention is the development that shows us in its main characters, in addition to a much (much) better animation than the previous work mentioned.
Our protagonist, in this story, is the daughter of a noble family who has been rejected by her future husband and blames her for infidelity and betrayal. She decides to leave instantly, leaving everyone present at the meeting completely stunned by her reaction. However, this is not new to her as she has lived the same story a total of 7 times she has died and started over since then, thus living several lives. In this latest one, she decides to make things right and avoid dying in the attempt, but, what she doesn't know is that she will end up being betrothed by the main culprit of her previous deaths.
Yes, I know, this anime couldn't be more cliché and the same can be said about the previous one in this Top. However, watching it in its entirety along with the others, I have realized that the way in which the characters are presented, as well as the development of each one and the story they tell us, is what makes it a work worth enjoying watching. An anime that combines romance with fantasy, action, drama and comedy in a pure and very special way. With gripping animation and scenes so powerful that they are even unforgettable.
Personally, I give it a 7.5/10 rating for the romance, drama and fantasy genres.
! [SPANISH VERSION] 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!
Sigamos con otro anime de romance y protagonistas muriendo más de una vez en un primer episodio (siendo esto segundo lo que más explotan en este particular). Fuera de la trama principal, podemos ver en esta obra similitudes con el anime anterior y muchos otros de su estilo que seguramente conocemos. Sin embargo, en este caso se puede decir que lo que más capta la atención es el desarrollo que nos muestra en sus personajes principales, amén de una animación un tanto (muchísimo) mejor que la obra anterior mencionada.
Nuestra protagonista, en esta historia, es la hija de una familia de nobles que ha sido rechazada por su futuro esposo y la culpa de infidelidad y traición. Ella decide irse al instante, dejando a todos los presentes de la reunión completamente atónitos por su reacción. Sin embargo, esto no es nuevo para ella ya que ha vivido la misma historia un total de 7 veces que ha muerto y ha empezado de nuevo desde ese entonces, viviendo así varias vidas. En esta última, ella decide hacer las cosas bien y evitar morir en el intento, pero, lo que no sabe es que terminará siendo desposada por el culpable principal de sus anteriores muertes.
Si, yo sé, más cliché no puede ser este anime y lo mismo se puede decir del anterior de este Top. Sin embargo, viéndolo completo junto con los demás, me he dado cuenta de que la forma en la que nos presentan los personajes, amén de él desarrollo que tienen cada uno y la historia que nos cuenta, es lo que la hace una obra digna de disfrutar ver. Un anime que combina el romance con la fantasía, la acción, el drama y la comedia en un sentido puro y muy especial. Con una animación que atrapa y escenas tan impactantes que son incluso inolvidables.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 7.5/10 en lo que respecta a los géneros del romance, el drama y la fantasía.
Now, we go to the real world, far from kingdoms, knights and princesses, and we are located in modern Japan, with an anime that, although it is a romance and comedy (RomCom), it also mixes excellently with the fantasy genre, presenting us with a world beyond the one we know, with characters and kingdoms beyond human comprehension. However, the goal remains the same: to tell us a love story, unique in its style. And in this case, I really liked it, to be honest.
The anime introduces us to our protagonist, who is a recent graduate with a somewhat peculiar appearance. He ends up telling us that he is a demon who comes from hell in search of fulfilling an important mission. However, he meets a girl from the same classroom, a little blonde with ruby color eyes who is super adorable but has a secret and a particularly interesting personality. Then, on the street, the two run into each other and our protagonist realizes that she is actually an angel who is on a quest to exorcise demons.
There is nothing better than mixing fantasy with a classic RomCom and unique in its style. The pair of protagonists not featured in this anime is one of the most striking of the season, with a relationship that makes sense to know and follow, despite how absurd and bizarre it sounds to see a demon and an angel fall in love with each other (a story we've already seen and read about in many other works of romance and fantasy). The animation is spectacular, standing out very well at certain moments, the episodes contain multiple funny and somewhat bizarre scenes that entertain quite a bit. But, in the case of romance, they are not left behind as it shows us the development that both have and the consequences of each action they commit.
Personally, I give it a well-deserved rating of 8.5/10 for the romance, comedy and fantasy genres.
! [SPANISH VERSION] The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil
Ahora, nos vamos al mundo real, lejos de los reinos, caballeros y las princesas, y nos ubicamos en la actual Japón, con un anime que, si bien es de romance y comedia (RomCom), este también se mezcla excelentemente con el género de la fantasía, presentándonos un mundo más allá del que conocemos, con personajes y reinos fuera de la comprensión humana. Sin embargo, el objetivo sigue siendo el mismo: contarnos una historia de amor, única en su estilo. Y en este caso, me gustó mucho, la verdad.
El anime nos presenta a nuestro protagonista, quien es recién egresado con un aspecto un tanto peculiar. Este nos termina contando que es un demonio que viene del infierno en busca de cumplir con una importante misión. Sin embargo, este conoce a una chica de su misma aula, una pequeña rubia con ojos color rubí que es súper adorable pero que tiene un secreto y una personalidad particularmente interesante. Luego, en la calle, se topan los dos y nuestro protagonista se da cuenta de que ella en realidad es un ángel que está en busca de exorcizar a los demonios.
No hay nada mejor que mezclar la fantasía con un RomCom clásico y único en su estilo. La pareja de protagonistas que no presentan en este anime es de los más llamativos de la temporada, con una relación que tiene sentido conocer y seguir, a pesar de lo absurdo y bizarro que suene ver a un demonio y un ángel enamorarse entre ellos (historia que ya hemos visto y leído en muchas otras obras de romance y fantasía). La animación es espectacular, destacándose muy bien en ciertos momentos, los episodios contienen múltiples escenas graciosas y un tanto bizarras que entretienen bastante. Pero, en el caso del romance, no se quedan atrás ya que nos muestra el desarrollo que ambos tienen y las consecuencias de cada acción que cometen.
Personalmente, le doy una merecida calificación de 8.5/10 en lo que respecta a los géneros del romance, la comedia y la fantasía.
From here, we already moved on to another level of romance, which is very cliché, that's right, in many other anime of this same genre of romantic comedy (RomCom). However, personally, what can surpass works of romance and fantasy, are the works of romance and comedy that very well stand out in this season, either by the typical "Waifus" or by the high "Fanservice" that some works, like this one, contain. In this case, we can enjoy a story full of love, tenderness and comedy, from beginning to end.
The story introduces us to a boy who just moved from Tokyo to Hokkaido, in his grandmother's house and starts studying at the high school there. On the snowy road, he meets a blonde and very attractive "Gal", who notices him and starts to treat and talk to him confidently. He takes an interest in her and they start walking together from there, as he is not used to interacting with people much. She shows him some places in the city while he falls in love with her, and she with him, but without both of them knowing it.
The simplicity that this anime possesses is what makes it entertaining and very easy to watch. Despite telling us a story that we have already seen many times before, this one in particular becomes special as we gradually get to know each character and the relationships they have, the decisions they make and the situations they find themselves in. A typical genre series with a unique story, fun characters, super awkward and emotional moments, animation that isn't too bad and a soundtrack and Opening that is quite enjoyable.
Personally, I give it a 9/10 rating as far as the romantic comedy genre is concerned.
! [SPANISH VERSION] Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!
A partir de aquí, ya pasamos a otro nivel de romance, el cual es muy cliché, así es, en muchos otros animes de este mismo género de la comedia romántica (RomCom). Sin embargo, personalmente, lo que puede superar a obras de romance y fantasía, son las obras de romance y comedia que muy bien destacan en esta temporada, ya sea por las típicas “Waifus” o por el alto “Fanservice” que algunas obras, como esta, contienen. En este caso, podemos disfrutar de una historia repleta de amor, mucha ternura y comedia, de principio a fin.
La historia nos presenta a un chico que recién se mudó de Tokyo a Hokkaido, en casa de su abuela y empieza a estudiar en la preparatoria de allí. En el camino repleto de nieve se toma con una “Gal” rubia y con muchos atributos, la cual se fija en él y empieza a tratarlo y hablarle con toda confianza. Él se interesa en ella y empiezan a andar juntos a partir de allí, ya que no está acostumbrado a relacionarse mucho con la gente. Ella le muestra algunos lugares de la ciudad mientras él se enamora de ella, y ella de él, pero sin ambos saberlo.
La sencillez que posee este anime es lo que lo hace entretenido y muy fácil de ver. A pesar de contarnos una historia que ya hemos visto muchas veces ya, este en particular se vuelve especial mientras vamos conociendo poco a poco a cada personaje y las relaciones que cada uno tiene, las decisiones que toman y las situaciones en las que se encuentran. Una serie típica de género con una historia única, personajes divertidos, momentos super incómodos y emotivos, una animación que no está tan mal y una banda sonora y Opening que gusta bastante.

We continue with more RomCom, but this time we move on to an anime, unique in its style, one that is one of the most favorite anime around the world for its particularity in terms of story and characters. An anime that breaks the mold of the typical romantic comedy stories so cliché that we know and invited us to know a story that taught us a lot about socializing, relating with others and making friends. With animation a bit better done than the previous season, this one comes with more to impress us and leave us in awe.
Our protagonist, Tomozaki-Kun, an antisocial boy who became an expert in playing an online battle game decided a year ago to be the "Player" of the most challenging game ever: the game of life. Gradually changing his appearance, his way of being and treating others, learning to relate to his classmates and girls, especially, he has this time a new task to accomplish during that year in high school and that is to get a girlfriend.
What makes this anime special is the way in which, in the role of a high school student, it shows us life as if it were a game, with daily missions and tasks, objectives, confrontations that will completely change the way of seeing and thinking of the person. The protagonist is in a kind of self-discovery as he shows his best friend, mentor and video game opponent how to be yourself in life and succeed. But, what I loved the most were the secondary characters that were given prominence in this season, with such emotional and impactful moments that simply leave you speechless.
Personally, I give it a well-deserved 9.5/10 rating as far as the romantic comedy genre is concerned.

Seguimos con más RomCom, pero esta vez pasamos a un anime, único en su estilo, uno que es de los más preferidos de todo el mundo por su particularidad en cuanto a historia y personajes se trata. Un anime que rompe el molde de las típicas historias de comedia romántica tan clichés que conocemos y nos invitó a conocer una historia que nos enseñó bastante en cuanto a socializar, relacionarse con los demás y hacer amigos se trata. Con una animación un tanto mejor hecha que la temporada anterior, esta llega con más para impresionarnos y dejarnos maravillados.
Nuestro protagonista, Tomozaki-Kun, un chico antisocial que se volvió un experto en jugar un juego de batallas en línea decidió hace un año ser el “Player” del juego más desafiante de toda la historia: el juego de la vida. Cambiando poco a poco su aspecto, su forma de ser y tratar a los demás, aprender a relacionarse con sus compañeros y con las chicas, en especial, el tiene esta vez una nueva tarea que cumplir durante ese año en la preparatoria y es la de conseguir novia.
Lo que hace especial este anime es la forma en la que, en el papel de un estudiante de preparatoria, nos muestra la vida como si fuera un juego, con misiones y tareas diarias, objetivos, enfrentamientos que cambiarán por completo la forma de ver y pensar de la persona. El protagonista se encuentra en una especie de auto-descubrimiento mientras le demuestra a su mejor amiga, mentora y contrincante de videojuegos cómo se puede ser uno mismo en la vida y tener éxito. Pero, lo que más me encantó fueron los personajes secundarios que se les dió protagonismo en esta temporada, con momentos tan emotivos e impactantes que simplemente te dejan sin palabras.
Personalmente, le doy una merecida calificación de 9.5/10 en lo que respecta al género de la comedia romántica.
We end with another second season of the most popular and watched romantic comedy anime of the time, an anime that rose to the top so unexpectedly and out of nowhere and has quickly become a favorite of many people. The continuation of one of the most anticipated school love stories in the anime world is here. And, yes, neither fantastic worlds, nor angels nor demons can achieve what a particular young couple achieved with this work of such a high level of quality.
The story continues with our protagonist, an asocial and weird boy who suddenly finds himself attracted to a girl in his class, who is the tallest, most attractive and most popular girl in the whole high school. They begin to sneak around seeing each other in the library and other parts of the school while trying to hide their relationship from the public because she is a girl who works in show business as an actress in several little-known plays. As her career is on the rise, their relationship becomes more and more intimate as they run into situations that test their hearts and feelings.
This second season came with everything, aside from bringing us amazing animation, which it already had in the first season, this one comes bundled with one of my favorite openings of the season and of the story. Apart from that, also, the characters we are introduced to, the developments they have, along with the same development that our favorite couple has during this dozen episodes is also something to emphasize quite a bit. With moments so emotional and deep that they even feel realistic. Also, the way they add comedy on several occasions, such as awkward moments, jokes and scenes that leave us laughing for several minutes. A play that feels like a real yet fictional love story that we all want to live.
Personally, I give it a well-deserved 10/10 rating as far as the romantic comedy genre is concerned.
! [Hidden Spoiler Text] The Dangers in My Heart 2nd Season
Finalizamos con otra segunda temporada del anime de comedia romántica más popular y visto de la época, un anime que alcanzó la cima de una forma tan inesperada y de la nada y que se ha convertido rápidamente en el favorito de mucha gente. La continuación de una de las historias de amor escolar más esperadas del mundo del anime está aquí. Y es que, si, ni los mundos fantásticos, ni los ángeles ni los demonios pueden conseguir lo que consiguió una pareja particular de jóvenes con esta obra de tan alto nivel de calidad.
La historia continua con nuestro protagonista, un chico asocial y raro que de repente se siente atraído por una chica de su misma clase, la cual es la más alta, atractiva y la más popular de toda la escuela secundaria. Ellos empiezan a verse a escondidas en la biblioteca y en otras partes de la escuela mientras tratan de ocultar su relación ante el público por ser ella una chica que trabaja en el mundo del espectáculo como actriz en varias obras poco conocidas. Mientras su carrera va en aumento, su relación se vuelve cada vez más y más íntima mientras se topan en situaciones que ponen a prueba su corazón y sus sentimientos.
Esta segunda temporada se vino con todo, aparte de traernos una animación increíble, que ya tenía en la primera temporada, esta viene incluida con uno de mis openings favoritos de la temporada y de la historia. Aparte de eso, también, los personajes que nos presentan, los desarrollos que estos tienen, junto con el mismo desarrollo que tiene nuestra pareja favorita durante esta docena de episodios es también algo que recalcar bastante. Con momentos tan emotivos y profundos que incluso se sienten realistas. También, la forma en la que agregan la comedia en varias ocasiones, como momentos tan incómodos, chistes y escenas que nos dejan con risas por varios minutos. Una obra que se siente como una historia de amor real y a la vez ficticio que queremos vivir todos.
Personalmente, le doy una merecida calificación de 10/10 en lo que respecta al genero de la comedia romántica.
And so, ladies and gentlemen, we come to the end of this special Anime Tops section of this Winter Season.
