Hey bros, espero como siempre que se encuentren excelentemente bien, el día de hoy hablaremos de un anime que simplemente considero de culto y estoy hablando por supuesto de Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, es un anime que consta de hombres musculosos peleando entre sí con poderes muy locos ¿Acaso necesita algo más para ser excelente? La respuesta es no obviamente, preparen todos sus músculos y sus poses extrañas que estamos por empezar.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is based on the manga of the same name that is written and drawn by Hirohiko Araki, its first publication was in 1987 and currently has 131 volumes, it has had multiple anime adaptations of Ovas and movies but we will focus on the one produced by him David Production studio, this was issued for the first time in 2012 currently has 152 chapters divided into 4 seasons, a 5 season is expected for December of this year. The anime focuses on the entire lineage of the Joestar, which are a family of British origin that is destined to face evil with different powers, something particular about the anime is that it is constantly changing the protagonist, putting a different descendant than what throughout its history by moving time forward and giving a different setting and context for each story.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure está basada en el manga del mismo nombre que es escrito y dibujado por Hirohiko Araki, su primera publicación fue en 1987 y tiene actualmente 131 tomos, ha tenido múltiples adaptación al anime de Ovas y películas pero nos centraremos en la producida por el estudio David Production, esta fue emitida por primera vez en 2012 cuenta actualmente con 152 capítulos divididos en 4 temporadas, se espera una 5 temporada para diciembre de este año. El anime se centra en todo el linaje de los Joestar los cuales son una familia de origen británico que se encuentra destinada a enfrentarse a la maldad con diferentes poderes, algo particular del anime es que va cambiando de protagonista constantemente poniendo a un descendiente diferente a lo largo de su historia haciendo avanzar el tiempo y dando un escenario y contexto diferente para cada historia.

Jonathan Joestar
He is the first Joestar to face evil, he is characterized by his honesty and kindness, having an unwavering determination being that he will not back down to defend his convictions, his friends and what he considers correct. He is totally opposite to his adoptive brother Dio of him having great empathy even for his enemies.
Es el primer Joestar que se enfrenta al mal, se caracteriza por su honestidad y amabilidad, teniendo una determinación inquebrantable siendo que no retrocederá para defender sus convicciones, sus amigos y lo que considera correcto. He is the villain who has had a leading role in different seasons, he is a completely manipulative and violent individual lacking any kind of empathy, he is a megalomaniac who will do everything to achieve power, despising anyone who can face him or equal him in power.
Es el villano que ha tenido protagonismo en diferentes temporadas, es un individuo completamente manipulador y violento carente de cualquier tipo de empatía, es un megalómano que hará todo por conseguir poder despreciando a todo aquel que pueda enfrentarlo o que lo iguale en poder.
William Anthonio Zeppeli
He is the first member of the Zeppeli family and is Jonathan's mentor, he is confident and courageous, he does not hesitate to put his life in danger to help someone unknown. He remains calm in any situation even if his life is in danger.
Es el primer miembro de la familia Zeppeli y es el mentor de Jonathan, es confiado y valiente, no duda en poner su vida en peligro por ayudar a alguien desconocido. Se mantiene tranquilo ante cualquier situación incluso si su vida se encuentra en peligro.
Joseph Joestar
He is Jonathan's grandson and is totally different from his grandfather because he is much more violent and exalted, he has no respect for authority except for his grandmother and Lisa Lisa. To further mark the difference in personality with his grandfather, he taunts and provokes his opponents regardless of the difference in power that exists. He likes to be the center of attention and can't stand being overshadowed in any way.
Es el nieto de Jonathan y es totalmente diferente a su abuelo debido a que es mucho más violento y exaltado, no posee respeto por la autoridad excepto por su abuela y por Lisa Lisa. Para marcar más la diferencia de personalidad con su abuelo se burla y provoca a sus oponentes sin importar la diferencia de poder que exista. Le gusta ser el centro de atención y no soporta que alguien lo opaque de ninguna forma.
Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli
He is Willian's grandson and he is highly honorable and completely proud of his last name, he is very temperamental and most of the time he is very serious. He is very honest with what he feels and when he does something for someone he will do it out of true love regardless of the consequences that this may bring. He is Joseph's rival with whom he has constant disputes but in turn helps each other to overcome.
Es el nieto de Willian y es altamente honorable y está completamente orgulloso de su apellido, es muy temperamental y la mayor parte del tiempo es muy serio. Es muy honesto con lo que siente y cuando hace algo por alguien lo hará por verdadero amor sin importarle las consecuencias que esto pueda traer. Jojo’s is an anime that presents us with excellent confrontations that go hand in hand with an exceptional soundtrack and animation, both parts 1 and 2 present very different villains who have their own objectives.
Jojo’s es un anime que nos presenta enfrentamientos excelentes que van de la mano con una banda sonora y animación excepcionales, tanto la parte 1 como la 2 nos plantean villanos muy diferentes los cuales poseen sus propios objetivos.
Before continuing I will give you a bit of context as to why we are talking about 2 parts at the same time, the first season is divided between Phantom Blood that are 9 chapters and Battle Tendency of 16 chapters. Both face enemies that have the same origin, only that different characters face them at different times, having established context, let's move on to the interesting thing.
Antes de proseguir les daré un poco de contexto de porque hablamos de 2 partes al mismo tiempo, la primera temporada esta dividida entre Phantom Blood que son 9 capítulos y Battle Tendency de 16 capítulos. Ambos enfrentan a enemigos que tienen el mismo origen solo que los enfrentan personajes diferentes en tiempos diferentes, habiendo establecido contexto pasemos a lo interesante.
The plot of both parties is the same, the good ones facing the bad ones making sacrifices to be able to eradicate them. Although the plot that moves the anime is very simple, it is not given much importance because it seeks to fill that lack with various moments of drama, emotion and action which it perfectly achieves by making the viewer forget the basic plot it has.
La trama de ambas partes es la misma, los buenos enfrentándose a los malos haciendo sacrificios para poder erradicarlos. Si bien el argumento que mueve al anime es muy sencillo no se le da mucha importancia debido a que busca suplir esa carencia con diversos momentos de drama, emoción y acción los cuales logra perfectamente haciendo olvidar al espectador la trama tan básica que tiene.
Part 1 presents us the pillars that the anime will have and that will be destroyed and rebuilt in future seasons (Although we will talk about that in future posts) This part is quite fleeting and simply gives us a preamble of what will happen in part 2, it has a fairly fast pace which prevents a palpable character development although to be honest seeing a character evolution in this franchise is very strange.
La parte 1 nos presenta los pilares que tendrá el anime y que serán destrozados y reconstruidos en futuras temporadas (Aunque eso lo hablaremos en futuros posts) Esta parte es bastante fugaz y simplemente nos da un preámbulo de lo que sucederá en la 2 parte, posee un ritmo bastante rápido lo cual impide un desarrollo de personajes palpable aunque siendo sinceros ver una evolución de personaje en esta franquicia es muy extraño.
Part 2 is much more interesting because it presents us with much more dramatic moments that arrive unexpectedly and that surprise the viewer, something that is very remarkable is the fact that the protagonists must face much stronger enemies having to use the dexterity and ability to compensate for the disadvantage, being a point in favor of the anime by not making its characters stronger but more intelligent to overcome adversity.
La parte 2 es mucho más interesante porque nos presenta momentos mucho más dramáticos que llegan de manera inesperada y que le dan una sorpresa al espectador, algo que es muy destacable es el hecho de que los protagonistas deben enfrentarse a enemigos mucho más fuertes teniendo que usar la destreza y habilidad para compensar la desventaja, siendo un punto a favor del anime al no hacer a sus personajes más fuertes sino más inteligente para superar las adversidades.
In order to face their enemies, the protagonists use the Hamon which is presented as a way to link people with the energy of the Sun, this type of energy being used to defeat the villains since it is the opposite of what that they have. This type of power to call it somehow seems very original and a total success that the anime does not explain more than necessary about it so as not to waste time on something that is better left to the imagination of the viewer.
Para poder enfrentarse a sus enemigos los protagonistas usan el Hamon el cual se nos presenta como una forma de enlazar a las personas con la energía del Sol, siendo este tipo de energía el utilizado para poder derrotar a los villanos ya que es el opuesto a lo que estos poseen. Este tipo de poder por llamarlo de alguna manera me parece muy original y un total acierto que el anime no explique más de lo necesario acerca de este para no gastar tiempo en algo que queda mejor dejar a la imaginación del espectador.
In both parts there is no kind of concealment to end a character, regardless of its relevance or prominence, this shows the viewer the level of danger they face and that they are not protected by the power of the script and can pay a high price for recklessness or bad decisions.
En ambas partes no existe ninguna clase de tapujo para darle fin a un personaje, sin importar la relevancia o protagonismo de este, esto demuestra al espectador el nivel de peligro al que se enfrentan y que no se encuentran protegidos por el poder del guion pudiendo pagar un alto precio por las imprudencias o malas decisiones.
Despite the fact that they belong to the same season, the change of generation between part 1 and 2 is noticeable at a very simple glance, noting noticeable differences in the people and the context in which they are found. This fact of the hand with the change of protagonist really transports the viewer to another time and the anime makes use of this change to present different elements according to the moment in history in which it places the events.
Pese a que pertenecen a una misma temporada se nota a muy simplemente vista el cambio de generación entre la parte 1 y 2, notándose notorias diferencias en las personas y el contexto en el cual se encuentran. Este hecho de la mano con el cambió de protagonista realmente transporta al espectador a otro tiempo y el anime hace uso de este cambio para presentar elementos diferentes acordes al momento de la historia en el cual ubica los acontecimientos.
The first season of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is simply wonderful, it has charismatic and very well defined characters that although they do not evolve are very pleasant and endearing, it is an anime of men fighting so you can expect exactly that. It is the type of anime that I recommend when you want to see something that has a good dose of action and adventure which presents wonderful settings, epic confrontations and a simple but compelling story which makes it very enjoyable and recommended.
La primera temporada de Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure es simplemente maravillosa, posee unos personajes carismáticos y muy bien definidos que si bien no evolucionan son muy agradables y entrañables, es un anime de hombres peleando por lo que puedes esperar exactamente eso. Es el tipo de anime que recomiendo cuando se quiere ver algo que posea una buena dosis de acción y aventuras las cuales presentan escenarios maravillosos, enfrentamientos épicos y una historia simple pero atrapante lo cual lo hace muy disfrutable y recomendable.
