Your Favorite Anime Character
Mi protagonista favorito hasta ahora es Legoshi, de Beastars. Esto se debe mas que nada por lo identificable que es a nivel personal ya que en el veo reflejado las inseguridades que tenia sobre mi altura, pero es mucho MUCHO! mas que eso.
My favorite protagonist so far is Legoshi from Beastars. This is mostly because of how identifiable he is on a personal level, since I see reflected in him the insecurities I had about my height, but he is much more than that.
Lo primero que me llamo la atención de el fue que en el ámbito de protagonistas marginados el no era débil y beta. A pesar de su aspecto intimidante, se lo ve retraído y sereno, ya que al ser un lobo teme a su propia fuerza y que esta pueda llegar a herir a algún herbívoro de su club. Eso viene con la represión de sus instintos carnívoros que resultan en los conflictos principales de su serie. Su personalidad lo hace fácilmente encasillable: siempre inseguro, introvertido, asegurándose que todos estén cómodos con el, y el amor que siente por Haru lo lleva a exteriorizar otras facetas suyas.
The first thing that struck me about him was that in the realm of marginalized protagonists he was not weak and beta. Despite his intimidating appearance, he comes across as withdrawn and serene, as being a wolf he fears his own strength and that it might actually hurt some herbivore in his club. That comes with the repression of his carnivorous instincts that result in the main conflicts of his series. His personality makes him easily pigeonholed: always insecure, introverted, making sure everyone is comfortable with him, and the love he feels for Haru leads him to externalize other facets.
Y que decir de su desarrollo, wow, ya desde la primera temporada se vio enfrentarse solo con garras a la mafia solo para salvar a la chica que le gusta, mostrándose como toda una fiera. Los ideales de justicia que comenzaban a crecer en el lo llegan a tomar decisiones arriesgadas que lo hace entrenar al mas puro estilo de Shonen de peleas para controlar sus instintos de depredador, hasta se enfrenta a un asesino que resulta mas grande y fuerte que el. Este no es el camino de un perdedor en busca de volverse el mas fuerte, es el camino de un justiciero que esta dispuesto a sacrificar su fuerza si eso crea un mundo mejor para aquellos que ama.
And what can we say about his development, wow, since the first season he has been confronting the mafia with his claws just to save the girl he likes, showing himself as a real beast. The ideals of justice that began to grow in him make him take risky decisions that makes him train in the purest style of Shonen fights to control his predator instincts, he even faces a murderer who is bigger and stronger than him. This is not the path of a loser looking to become the strongest, it is the path of a vigilante who is willing to sacrifice his strength if it creates a better world for those he loves.
