Hablar de Attack on Titan es hablar del muy probablemente mejor anime que alguna vez se haya escrito a pesar de que en este vasto mundo existan otros que son increíblemente buenos pero como AOT creo muy humildemente que hay pocos. También es verdad que es un anime que no tiene mucho tiempo de estrenado, 12 años aproximadamente, pero la manera en la que ha calado en la gente llega a niveles absurdos.
To talk about Attack on Titan is to talk about probably the best anime that has ever been written, even though in this vast world there are others that are incredibly good, but I humbly believe that there are few like AOT. It is also true that it is an anime that has not been released for a long time, 12 years approximately, but the way in which it has reached absurd levels.
En estos momentos estamos en un "receso" mientras sale la segunda parte de lo que será la temporada final a estrenarse en enero del año 2022, tengo entendido. Cada vez falta menos, de hecho ya son 4 meses los que tenemos que esperar para ver el desenlace de esta brutal historia por lo que acompañado por el hecho de que el día de ayer estaba leyendo unas cosas me decidí antes de que se me olvide hacer una pequeña publicación acerca de algunas curiosidades que hay detrás de este anime. Así que vamos a ver que tal.

- Levi Ackerman, según el creador del anime fue creado a partir de la nada, es decir, no había un rol ni un plan para él simplemente fue producto de garabatos mientras procesabas otras ideas para la serie. Una vez la idea ya estaba en el papel parte de su personalidad la extrajo del personaje de "Rorschach" de la historia de Watchmen.

- Hablemos de Reiner Braun: con él existen par de cosas, la primera es que su nombre es de origen nórdico, como claramente lo deja claro su físico, y este significa "Guerrero conciliador". Lo segundo es referente a su forma de titán. Reiner es el titan acorazado y el físico de este está inspirado en Brock Lesnar, un luchador de artes marciales mixtas.
Let's talk about Reiner Braun: with him there are a couple of things, the first is that his name is of Nordic origin, as his physique makes clear, and this means "Conciliatory Warrior". The second thing is regarding his titan form. Reiner is the armored titan and his physique is inspired by Brock Lesnar, a mixed martial arts fighter.

- Los diseños y bocetos de la mayoría de las ciudades que vemos a lo largo de todo el anime en realidad son una representación de una ciudad europea, pero cual? - pues Nördlingen ubicada al sur de Alemania. La verdad es que ver esta ciudad en la realidad es una locura y hasta un poco surrealista.
The designs and sketches of most of the cities we see throughout the anime are actually a representation of a European city, but which one? - Nördlingen located in southern Germany. The truth is that seeing this city in reality is crazy and even a little surreal.

- Otras de las grandes rarezas tiene que ver con el nombre de Mikasa. Isayama, creador de todo esto, una vez en una entrevista afirmó que dicho nombre proviene de un gran barco de guerra de la naval del imperio de Japón por el pensar que decía que si se le ponía nombres de estas naves a ciertos personajes femeninos pues la serie o en este caso el anime sería un gran éxito. Creo que muy lejos no estaba porque realmente es un éxito gigante.
Another of the great oddities has to do with the name Mikasa. Isayama, creator of all this, once in an interview said that the name comes from a great warship of the naval empire of Japan because he thought that if he named these ships after certain female characters then the series or in this case the anime would be a great success. - En cuanto a Eren hay de igual manera par de cosas que destacar y a la vez un poco parecidas a las de Reiner. Si bien ya sabemos que el titan acorazado es basado en Lesnar, la forma de titan de Eren es también inspirado en un luchador de artes marciales mixtas pero en esta oportunidad es un japonés de nombre Yūshin Okami. Para Isayama este peleador tiene la contextura perfecta de un peleador.
As for Eren there are also a couple of things to highlight and at the same time a little similar to Reiner. While we already know that the armored titan is based on Lesnar, Eren's titan form is also inspired by a mixed martial arts fighter but this time it is a Japanese named Yūshin Okami. - Lo otro a mencionar es que hay una escena muy icónica en una de las temporadas donde vemos a Eren en forma de titan llevando una gran piedra para tapar uno de los huecos de la muralla Rose, pues es una imagen que se asemeja un poco al personaje de la mitología griega, el titan ATLAS, quien sobre sus hombros carga una gran piedra que simboliza el mundo en su totalidad.
The other thing to mention is that there is a very iconic scene in one of the seasons where we see Eren in the form of a titan carrying a large stone to cover one of the holes in the Rose wall, as it is an image that resembles the character of Greek mythology, the titan ATLAS, who on his shoulders carries a large stone that symbolizes the world in its entirety.

- Muchas de las cosas que podemos apreciar en Attack on Titan tienen una razón de ser, no son cosas que están hechas al azar ni mucho menos. Tal es el caso del origen del nombre de EREN. Resulta que es originario de Turquía, una cultura que es sabido es milenaria, pues con exactitud su nombre se traduce en dicha cultura como: "aquel que progresa y alcanza madurez divina". Puede que tenga un poco de sentido ya que en la serie vemos como Eren sufre una serie de cambios que lo obligan a tener cierto temple y carácter para algunas cosas que le toca vivir.
Many of the things that we can appreciate in Attack on Titan have a reason for being, they are not things that are made at random, far from it. Such is the case of the origin of EREN's name. It turns out that he is originally from Turkey, a culture that is known to be millenary, as his name is accurately translated in that culture as: "he who progresses and reaches divine maturity". It may make some sense because in the series we see how Eren undergoes a series of changes that force him to have a certain temper and character for some things that he has to live.
- Con respecto a Armin ocurrió algo no de última hora pero si que no estaba en la idea original. Al comienzo se tenía pensado que Armin fuese una mujer cosa que evidentemente Isayama cambió porque creyó quera algo extraño que Eren se la pasase con dos amigas de sus infancia siempre. La cosa es que tampoco es que cambió mucho porque si nos damos cuenta Armin tiene rasgos femeninos y es que su diseño no lo modificaron mucho.
Regarding Armin, something happened not at the last minute but it was not in the original idea. At the beginning it was thought that Armin would be a woman, but Isayama obviously changed it because he thought it was a bit strange that Eren would always be with two of his childhood friends. The thing is that he didn't change much because if we notice Armin has feminine features and his design wasn't modified much.
- Por último se sabe que el cumpleaños de Armin es el 3 de noviembre el cual es un día que en el Japón es celebrado como el día de la cultura. Es una celebración que llama a promover el estudio; de ahí supongo viene un poco la gran inteligencia que él posee.

Sin duda alguna que Attack on Titan es un anime épico el cual todos los amantes de este genero debería de ver si o si. Por los momentos nos toca esperar un poco confiado de que estos meses pasen muy rápido para volver a disfrutar de esta historia y de su culminación.
