This week's One Piece chapter has one of the most shocking chapter endings so far this year, with a somewhat heartbreaking ending continuing the battle between Kaido vs. the disciples of Oden. We will also see several battle fronts in this chapter, showing us a little bit what those involved in this great decisive battle are doing.
But without further ado, this week's review:
The chapter begins by showing us the inhabitants of Wano celebrating very happily, since as every year, due to the great celebration that takes place all over the country, Orochi leaves Wano to go to Onigashima to celebrate, so the people of Wano are happy because at least once a year they are not afraid of dying at the hands of Orochi, however, they still don't know that one of the most decisive battles in the history of One Piece is taking place on the island of Onigashima and that possibly (since I doubt very much that this is true), Orochi is dead.
Now changing scenarios, the chapter takes us to Onigashima, where we see the result of Queen's bullets, which infect people by turning them into "ice demons", and being able to transmit this plague to other people through their bite, everything is happening before everyone's eyes, Robin, Chooper, Zoro and even XDrake look totally perplexed by what is causing Queen's bullets. However, they quickly change scenery once again and we see Luffy making his way through the enemies. And when he was about to attack an enemy, Sanji stops him and using his "Concassé" skill, he defeats a group of enemies with great ease.
But a soldier from Kaido appears, who has consumed a Smile (artificial devil's fruit), which gives him the ability to transform his arm into a gorilla with a will of his own and starts attacking Luffy and Sanji. Luffy is about to attack and but Sanji once again stops him and tells him that he must save his strength for his fight against Kaido. Luffy and Sanji argue about who is going to fight against Kaido's soldier, when Jinbei suddenly appears and with great ease defeats him.
Then we see a cat that has in his house a "page" with a symbol of an eye (symbol which also has Who's Who tattooed in the chest), so we can understand from this part of the chapter that this cat, through the eye that is drawn in the paper can transmit what he is seeing to another character, that character is Bao Fang, which has appeared before, but has not had relevance in the plot. However, Bao Fang informs King that Momonosuke, Shinobu and Yamato are heading somewhere ( Shinobu and Momonosuke are still running away from Yamato ). In view of this, King informs everyone that they must kill Monosuke, since he is the only heir of Wano, they must kill him to end this war.
While Shinobu and Momonosuke were still running away from Yamato, since they still don't trust her, Sasaki appears and orders his group to shoot them. Shibono manages to dodge the explosion, however, they also shoot arrows at them, which he has to stop with his own body to protect Momonosuke. Shinobu is very hurt, even starts bleeding from the mouth, but is going to be attacked by one of Sasaki's group, which looks like a "dwarf" fused with a turtle (the Smile manage to make quite rare combinations), but, both Shinobu and Momonosuke are protected by Yamato, who hits the soldier with his mace. But Sasaki's special group, the "Armored Corps", appears, and it seems that they are going to fight Yamato. An interesting battle is about to begin.
And now comes the most interesting and shocking part of the chapter, as we return to the "Rooftop dome", where one of the most important battles of this saga is being fought. In the previous chapter we saw how 4 of Oden's disciples, using their master's own skill, were able to cut Kaido in the same place that in the past Oden left him the scar.
We see the Nine Red Scabbards addressing a Kaido wounded by the previous attack, they are preparing to cut the head of the Pirate, however, as expected, Kaido begins to rise and says that, after that attack, he could see the shadow of Oden, that he would not have cared to die at that time, but they will never be as strong as he (Oden) and that there will never be a samurai as strong as Oden. They were not strong enough to open the wound that Oden once left him as a reminder of the one person who had really hurt him. Before these words Kaido makes a new attack "Kamaitachi", which means "Swords of Wind". We see how wind swords are thrown dangerously towards the Nine Red Scabbards, and in one of the most shocking scenes of this chapter and of all this 2020 in One Piece, one of these wind swords hits Kiku cutting off one of his arms, until he tears it off and thus the chapter ends.
It was logical that Kaido was not going to be defeated, and now the real terror begins, I am sure that one by one the Nine Red Scabbards, are going to fall until the arrival of Luffy, perhaps Zoro will also come to help him, since Zoro has the sword of Oden, the sword that managed to leave him that deep scar.
