1000 Elo games - never give up in this chaos

Its been 4 months since I created account at chess.com and while writing this my Elo is 1072. Max reached ~1100 but every time I get this high and start losing games dropping rating even below 1000 again.

To be 1000 Elo its when you blunder like 600 and come up with tactics like 1500 (usually by accident). Sometimes I just blunder my pieces and I can't find good excuse for it. But on the other hand - opponents are doing same mistakes. 🤣

Game I am sharing today is very good example of why you should not resign even after losing valuable piece. Today I managed to lose my queen in opening (on move 7), but i decided to play like nothing happened.

Like losing my queen wasn't enough I moved my rook right in front of my opponents dark bishop... and they missed that, lol.

Middle game went with tension between pawns and mostly one-mover threats, until my opponent decided to give up they rook for my bishop.

A few moves later, I was forced to trade my rook for they bishop (better than losing it for free 😅).

I moved my king to leave bishop unguarded expecting white's queen to take it, so I could make a trade and infiltrate they side of the board with my rook. Opponent had the same plans for they rook and I expected attack making battery with queen is coming.

Once battery was made It looked like there is no way for me to get out from check mate, so I started to give checks with my rook and forced white's king to move towards my side of the board.

I gave a check with my pawn and here was fatal mistake to move white's king to "safety" instead of taking pawn with the queen and checking me. My opponent did not notice that my knight would be pinned by the rook and could not move to capture white's queen.

White's pawn behind king was left unguarded from the rook and after capturing king did not had any legal moves and I won this game.

To be clear I am not proud of this game at all... I played awful, but my opponent missed so many opportunities to punish me and lost whole game.

And that why folks you should not give up early in the game, especially at this level ✌️
