yesterday the 10th and final round of S16 "Untitled" was played as a 5+1 arena tournament, with 20 players participating and an average rating of 1661. Welcome @ram9612 to Hivechess!
It was the day of @dhilan04 who played excellently and could grab his first tournament win, closely followed by @pamboy27. The third rank went to @vjap55 in his first appearance in S16. Congrats to All!

Special prices
The price of 10 Hive for the highest average performance in relation to the own rating (if at least 6 rounds have been played) goes to: @vasigo, with a differences of 134 rating points, slightly ahead of @rodrook (120)! Congratulations!
In addition, @anomadsoul will distribute 5x 100 LEO each to 5 lucky players (from the 11 who have participated in at least 8 rounds). The winners will be added here later.
Season stats
In the season 16 "Untitled" in total 43 players were participating (in S15 it was 49). The average participation was with 19,5 players per round also significantly lower than in S15 (27,2).
The number of players who participated only once or twice was 39,5%, higher than last season (22%). Consequently, only 26 players (=60,5%) qualify for prices! The pricepool will be about 650 Hive!
As always, all prices will be transferred in app. one week, after the payout of this post (and any other posts using @badge-646464 as beneficiary).

This time there was no streaming done at all, also very few tournament reports and having set @badge-646464 as beneficiary! Bear market also in our chess community (but in other communities on Hive it looks similar). It can only go up from here! Any changes in the format or how to improve engagement are welcome! Please put them in the comments (or DM me via Diskord or Lichess).
There will be a break again, so no promises when S17 will start. Maybe we should start only if Hive is back to >40c?
In between we will have as usual some Hivechess fun tournaments and/or a second issue of the Lichess Team Battle, so stay tuned and keep practicing!
