chess: A nice win from lichess.org

Annatotated game from lichess.org
I had black.

1.e4 c5 2.Bc4 e6 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.e5
gives the following position

e4e5.png

When I played Nf6 I did know I have a move here, at least I think it is good, I don't think I confused it from another position.
4.- d5
This leads to more confrontational play, sharper continuations.
5.Bb5+
So he completely rejects the sharper lines with 5.exf6 dxc4 6.fxg7 Bxg7
So he decided to play the following position instead.

Bb5.png

If this worked he could win a whole piece, but I have the move Nfd7 defending and adding pressure against e5, the bishop will not be very stable on b5. In fact if you squint at the position in the right way this is a rather nice french defense for black.
5.- Nfd7 6.Nf3 a6 7.Be2

Be2.png

Now black wins the e-pawn since it is indefensible
7.-Nc6 8.0-0 Ndxe5 9.Nxe5 Nxe5 10.d4 cxd4 11.Qxd4

Leads to another interesting position, I had a bit of a decision, f6 seems like a reasonable move, but so does Bd6, I ended up playing Bd6 even though it leaves g7 undefended and f4 would leave it as a weakness, but I felt that f6 would weaken e6 and make my position harder to play long term.

11.- Bd6

qd4.png

12.f4 Ng6 13.Qxg7

qg7.png

I am not sure I really like the Qg7 move here, I might be scared that the queen gets trapped, or gets a bit sidetracked.

13.- f6 14.Qh6 Qb6+ 15.Kh1 Bd7 16.Bh5 0-0-0

castle.png

Here I castled protecting both rooks and getting the potential for open lines against his king.

17.Bxg6 hxg6 18.Qxg6

qg6.png

Here I had another decision, I am sure Rdg8 is a fine move, very possible it makes blacks potential a bit more dangerous, however I decided to go another way here.

18.- e5 19.Qxf6 exf4 20.Nxd5 Qc6

qc6.png

There is a few things that black might like to have a little better, but I think overall the attacking potential here is just to good. White need to save the knight so Nxf4 is the most likely move, then there is a lot of tricks black can play.

21.Nxf4 Rdf8 22.Qd4

starmove.png

Here I found a very tricky move, not really the best.

22.- Bh3

White could defend, but he did not find the right defense and lost immediately (right defense Rf2 stockfish)
He played instead 23.Be3?? now black won easily

23.- Bxf4 24.Qd2 Bxe3 25.Rxf8+ Rxf8 26.Qe2 Rf2 27.Qxf2 Bxf2

finalposition.png

And here he resigned, which probably was more correct several moves earlier.
