The mistake with a Bf4 move is that it doesn't really protect the pawn. H4 proves that immediately. Now you are losing a pawn or the bishop, both resulting in a winning position for white.
Be7 would hold the draw... I think. I would find a way to screw it up in a time scramble but it looks like a draw, haha.
